it all depends on when you ovulate. If you don't know then try getting an ovulation predictor kit to find out what is the best time for you to try to get pregnant. A sperm can live 2-5 days in the vagina waiting for the egg that only lives 2-3 days.

You know - when your egg is dispatched about one week after previous period - it wanders down to the uterus where it will stay until next period. The transportation takes a week or so for the egg to do. It is all ready for some semen to come along.

Safest thing to do is to use a condom or other birth control if you dont want to get pregnant.

You can get pregnant anytime that you ovulate. While normally women are "fertile" for only several days during the middle of their cycle, cycles can often be erratic. In addtion, sperm can live for days inside of you. that expands the window of opportunity.
