I would say give the relationship a go while he is at the Uni he wants to go to. it doesnt have to be one or the other. long distance relationships do work. My partner and I were together for a year and a half at the beginning of our relationship while he was living in germany. he now lives over here with me, 2 years later. It doesnt have to be all or nothing, give it a go and see what happens. if it doesnt work then at least you know you gave it a go.

Obviously, we don't know the individuals in question, but I would say:
Go to Uni, and if the relationship can't take the strain of the distance, then it wasn't the right relationship in the first place.

I just want to give my backing to the answer to go to the best uni. If the relationship crumbles, it was never meant to be.

He should go to university and continue the relatiobship initially...if it does not work, then fine...if it does...then fine! I wish him well in his studies!
