First off, make sure what you have is granuloma annulare and not an allergy or irritation from shoes- check the location and pattern and see if it corresponds with any shoes you wear. (Dont worry about ringworm- the tops of the feet would be an unheardof place for it to come out.)
Next, you should understand the it often takes 4-6 weeks of treatmetn to make GA go away. Rest assured that localized GA almost always goes away, sometimes spontaneously. If a corticostroid cream for trhat length of time hasnt workded and you want another treatmetn, ask your doctor about any of the following which have all been used for GA:
cryotherapy
tacrolimus
imiquimod
vitamin E cream

Sounds like your doctors a bit of a quack this condition is called idiotitus crakinupious and is not really dangerous unless your toes start to drop off which is'nt such a bad thing because when they do you save a lot of money on shoes because then you can buy kiddies sizes

First don't worry stay calm.
Try warm salt water and leave your feet until the water goes cold.
Dry and do about 3 days if still no change call the police.

Go back to the doctor, they may be able to give you something else if the cream hasn't worked.

Make sure the doctor is a dermatologist....not just the usual general practitioner. Get a referral if you need one.

if I were you I would go back to the doctor and tell him that the cream isn't working and he can take another look at your feet and prescribe another course of treatment for you..

maybe its ringworm?! I know it sounds gross, but it is very easy to treat. have you been around animals lately as you are most likely to pick it up from them or other people who have it as it is highly infectious. Hope you get to the bottom of it.
