I would suggest for you to picture yourself in what type of body you want yours to be sculpted, meaning if you want it to be slim or chunky with muscles. And then start on a diet that is realistic for the meantime, then start going to the gym, and don't over do it at first. Then once you get the hang of it do the after six-meaning no more food intake after six, this will make your metabolism work well and don't ever skip breakfast, eat from time to time but never over stuff yourself, eat a little when you feel hungry then a lot of water. And go to the gym regularly 3 times a week if necessary, and do your cardio exercises.

I use www.sparkpeople.com as well, if you need to loose a-lot of weight, try weight watchers. I do The Firm Body sculpting system and have seen great results with that. Eat healthy and try a fitness program. Good luck

Run, about 10km a day at least 4 times a week. if you cant run that far start slowly 2 km, sounds like like somthing you would read in a self help book, but its true, eating better would help to but running then a good shower. it will be hard at the start but if you keep it up you will see results. if you want to take it up another level then do some light weights.

The best long-term diet I've been on is the diabetic diet. Ideally, you eat only those items on the food pyramid. You get three small meals with 3 small snacks spread out over the course of the day, so your metabolism isn't changing a lot. At breakfast you get 2 servings of carbohydrates (15 carbohydrates = 1 serving, such as 1 slice of bread, 3/4 c. of cereal, etc.--check labels), 8 oz. of milk (or yogurt) and 1 fruit (or 1/2 c. of fruit juice).
For your morning snack you get another fruit, and at lunch you get 3 oz of meat (about the size of a deck of cards), 2 more servings of carbohydrates, a vegetable (1 c. of cooked or 2 c. of raw), and 1 fat (6 grams, also equals 1 pat of butter or roughly 1 tablespoon of salad dressing). A sandwich with deli meat and a side salad would just fit the bill.

For your afternoon snack, you get another piece of fruit and a serving of milk. At supper, you get 2 more carb servings, 4 oz. of meat (about the size of the palm of your hand), another vegetable, and 2 servings of fat. Finally, for your bedtime snack, you get another serving of carbs and a milk. My dietician advised that you could use this as your "reward," like a cookie and milk.

Between this, exercise, and drinking plenty of water, you should do just fine. You won't feel as hungry as you do on other diets (in fact, I felt like I couldn't eat it all), you're getting the nutrients you need and the exercise you need. Don't get impatient, either--if you lose one to one and one-half pounds a day, you're more likely to keep it off.
