The average newborn’s eyeball is about 18 millimeters in diameter, from front to back (axial length); it grows slightly to a length of approximately 19½ millimeters as an infant; and it continues to grow gradually to a length of about 24-25 millimeters, or about 1 inch, in adulthood. (A ping-pong ball is about 1½ inch in diameter, which makes the average adult eyeball about 2/3 the size of a ping-pong ball.) The eyeball is set in a protective cone-shaped cavity in the skull called the “orbit” or “socket.”

Your eyeballs are the same size when you're a baby as they are when you're an adult. That's why babies have such big, appealing eyes - it's supposed to be an evolution thing as humans (especially women) respond subconsciously to baby animals with large eyes - all together now ..."aaahhh".

Eyes do grow in size. My sister had two eye surgeries. One when she was younger to implant a lens, and then later on when she was old enough (and her eyes were at adult size) to implant the adult-sized lens.

Actually, it's totally true! It's also true that your nose and ears continue to grow once you've reached your full height, which is why old people have huge ears and large noses!

I strongly doubt that I had such huge eyes when I was born. Eyes also use to change its color during the lifetime.
