VERY bad idea. In many planes you CAN acess the luggage compartment. Wich means there would be a way for you to get to it.
The only way would be if it is still sealed in its origonal packaging then they probably would not care. If it was not in its packaging they would let you go after a while, but you would miss your flight and they would probably confiscate the airsoft.

NO! NOT OK!!!

If they even see a toy water gun in your luggage you will be detained for hours and most likely miss your flight.

Having it in your luggage could, in the worst case have the entire Airport cleared out!! It has happened before for minor things.

The best advice is to call airport security (FIRST from home) and ask them how you should transport, or ship it.

I saw a news report where someone was detained for wanting to ship a shotgun this way with out clearing it first. I know that was a shot gun but they wont even let fingernail clippers on any more.
Best to check with the people in charge first.

To be sure, call the airlines. Last time I carried on the airlines in heavy luggage, you have to declare it is there. Have it in a locked box unloaded. With the bullets/pellets in another bag. I do it with a real weapon you should be able to do it with a airsoft pistol.

This is a REALLY bad idea to do. It would be much safer and smarter to contact the airline and ask how you could transport the gun. It is likely better to find a way to ship it separately to your destination. I say this not because I think it is impossible to take a gun with you, but because it will be so much of a hassle and could cause you embarassment, inconvenience, and if done incorrectly, jail time or fines.

Call the airport, if it is going in the bottom of the plane, then it is probably legal.

I'd reccomend keeping it with you, and asking security if it's ok to take on the plane. Be sure and point it at them so they can see it's just an airgun ok?

you should call the airline...they have special rules for taking firearms ( even air pistols ) on a plane.......they will tell you what you need to do, how to pack it...etc...etc...

Yeah, and they'll put you in an airsoft jail cell.

Packing it in the luggage should be fine.
