REturn, REuse, REcycle. I try to do this with everything. The only thing I let my garbage man pick up and haul to a landfill is biodegradable materials such as orange peels, potato skins, plant life, and food scraps. Everything else is saved and either REturned, REused, or taken to a REcycling reclamation site. Even if they don't pay for it, I give up all my cardboard, plastics, styrofoam, newsprint, magazines, phone books, scrap paper, aluminum cans, tin cans, metal, used cooking grease, and ink cartridges.
I save the plastic trays my frozen entrees come in and use them as dishes for my cats' water and food before I take them to the recycling center. Yeah, it's extra work - but if you develop a streamlined system for it, it's really pretty easy.
For those of you who don't think recycling is important, please send me all your money and I'll squander it for you. When you don't recycle, you're basically doing the very same thing with the Earth's "money" (its natural resources). Please send me all your money immediately and I'll waste it as quickly as I can!
Thanks! -RKO-

Have a place for everything. If you want to recycle, you have to have a convenient place to put the stuff. It is sitting around, creating clutter, you may just end up throwing it in the trash.

since its impossible to destroy the earth, put everything in a 4x4 mudder tire and burn it. the earth will naturally recycle it. might take a million years, but thats like 1 second in universe time.
