Why would you be arrested, as long as the AK47 is a legal weapon in your state, and you are not threatening anyone, and the people at the Quick Check don't care, then you are within your rights to do that. However, when the cops show up and tell you to put the weapon down, you must do so, if the cops tell you to leave, you must do so. You must repeat must do everything the cops tell you to do. If you do so, and the gun is not illegal, and you are carrying it in plain sight, and you have not violated any other local or state laws. What are they gonna arrest you for?

Your Confused Again boy

The Minutemen DONT CARRY AK47s
SOME Of Them Wear A REGISTERED SIDEARM
For Protection (Self Defense)

The Minutemen Are A "Hands Off" Operation
They Rarely Get Close To ILLEGAL BORDER JUMPERS
They Maintain Watches
And Alert The Border Patrol To Suspicious Activity

There Are Several Hundred (Civilian) Organized Armed Militias
That Can And Will Defend Our Nation
When We Need Them To

The Minutemen Are Far From A Militia
At Best
You Can Call Them An Organized Bunch Of Tattletales

I Support The Minuteman Project

In the US, we have the Second Amendment, which gives the right to bear arms to protect ourselves. In most states, you need a license to carry a concealed weapon. Pretty hard to conceal a rifle or shot gun.
The goal of the Minutemen is to call attention to a problem, lack of border security, that has existed for far too long.
Your example has nothing to do with border security. I am sure the people who own and operate Quick Check would not want you walking around with a weapon. There is no illegal immigration involved, and you would probably scare away customers.
The police would not want you patrolling with a loaded weapon. The chief might think you are nuts. You would be arrested if the weapon were illegal or if you were charged with trespass. You are allowed on the premises only to do business at Quick Check. It is private property.

The Minutemen are protecting property with the consent of the landowners! Some of them do carry guns for self protection. After all, the border is a dangerous place, what with the drug runners and other criminals coming across! If you will recall, just last week, sheriff's deputies got fired upon from across the mexican border!

You would probably be arrested if you were outside a quickcheck with an AK! They'd think you were going to rob the place! Even security guards,do not carry AK's!

Because if everyone could walk around with guns (and I'm sure that is what you'd want to do - protect the Quick Stop), there would be total chaos. Even a cop isn't going to just stand in front of a Quick Stop with an AK47 pointing at anything. Will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't nuts ..... but there ARE a lot of nuts out there -- you want everyone to be able to do that?

I've got an idea......if minutemen are a group of "volunteers",then make up your own organization. How about the " Quick second men"?That way you can protect your Quick Check. Hey,maybe you can say you can protect it from illegals cashing their checks!LOL!Who knows?Maybe ole' Georgie and his crew will agree.

first of all the quicky mart is in city limits, the minute men patrol wide open spaces, second the minute men are a group of people who patrol the border where their land meets the border, in other words they are unlucky enough for the land they own to be right on the boarder, so in most states you have the right to protect your own land from trespassers. ever see those signs posted saying trespasser will be shot? heed the warnings, because the sign gives a warning trespasser can actually be shot

Well , good I have one too. Um I would say sitting outside of a mini-mart would be trouble because we have police for that. apparently we don't have enough border patrol and I don't know of anyone down there shooting people. As for illegals they should go back. I'm sick of carrying there weight so I can lose benefits for my family. You know people cry about Americans a lot, well, it's our bat, ball, glove and field. if you don't want to play by our rules ...go away.

Its simplely a matter of someone else making the decisions and telling you that you dont have that authority where the other side does not have the same power or controll and can not really tell their people to do anything at all.

even with a gun license, you' get in trouble for the simple fact that you do not work for any form of protection agency....weather it be a sherrif, local cop, fbi, you get it right? the government makes the rules and sometimes its hard to understand them but we're still stuck listening.
