What must I do to become saved?

First you must realise that you have sinned(ie.. lied, cheated, stole,etc..) Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Second realize that there is a price for your sin: Romans 6:23 " For the wages(price)of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Third you need to confess( say you are truly sorry for your sins) and repent(turn away) of your sins: Romans 10:9-10 "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man beleives, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

1John 1:9 " If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Third you need to realise that Jesus died in your place, He took the punshiment that should have been ours. Salvation is a free gift there is nothing we can add to it or take from it. Ephesians 2:8-9 " For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not as a result of works, that no one should boost."

Romans 5: 10 " For while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life."

If you pray and believe you are saved. You are promised that He will never leave you, He is only a prayer away. You will need to find a good Bible preaching church to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus.

I have been saved since 1979;it has made the biggest difference in my life. I now have a since of peace, hope and joy that didn't have before. I'm not going ot say that it is easy to always follow and listen, but I do know it is better then what it was before. I wouldn't trade my salvation for anything.

At home by yourself, on your knees say this small prayer:
Dear Jesus I need you, Thank you for dying for the forgiveness of my sins, I accept you into my heart as my lord and Savior, in Jesus name Amen. Look for a well balanced church, Evangelical or pentecostal, be baptize. The bible says if you are saved all in your household will be also, God bless you and I will see you in heaven.

I would read the bible... And attend some Church meetings to get to know HIM better.

You must fellowship with others of the Christian faith...

But, the most thing of all...

You must Repent of your Sins... ask JESUS CHRIST into your life! After repenting your sins, you must be baptised in the name of the FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT.

You will learn about these things, when you go to Church and meet "HIS people".
