Yes, keep other dogs away from the new puppies. Puppies are weaned at 6 weeks old. Does you dog live inside? If so, build what is called a whelping box... it is only 2 boards 2 in thick, 6 inches wide and about 6 feet long then 2 boards that are the same thickness and width, but 4 feet long. Just nail them together on the corners, put in kitchen. Put the puppies in there. The mom dog can get in and out as she pleases and the pups will stay in there for at least the first 3-4 weeks, when they are most vunerable. Put a baby gate up between door areas that are open to the kitchen.
Do this asap. Don't let the other dogs around the pups.

i think it would be a good idea to seclude her and her pups, at least until the pups are already 1-2 months old. female dogs who just recently gave birth tend to be very protective of their puppies, and any dog (or humans) who attempts to go near them is a threat. better to seclude the mother and the puppies from the other dogs to prevent them from fighting :)

If you have a good relationship with the mother you can definataly move the pups. DEFINATLY seclude her form the othe dogs, some other dogs (either sex) will kill pups & mom is unlikly to take the risk that your others are not ones who will, and will spring to their defence & the pups may be injured in the turmoil.

seclude the ***** and her puppies ..not only will she be protective and try and kill the others she could turn and kill the pups also infection they should be handled as little as possible in the first week making sure you wash your hands before touching them ..everything whelping box bedding heat pad cotton wool have you all the supplies needed including whelping milk in case her milk doesn't come down has she been taken to the vet for an oxytocin injection to make sure she has cleared out all afterbirths and it will encourage milk to come down....everything should be as sterile as possible...weigh the puppies daily and you will be able to check they are gaining weight etc because a newborn can die very quickly if not warm enough too warm unable to suck to name a few problems.....

puppies should be kept in a clean quiet dry and warm location AWAY from other dogs. Most other dogs will kill newborn pups.
