Yes, I do. Your Quiet Time is best done during the early hours of the morning where there is peace and everything is still that you can almost hear God.
It is said that Jesus usually prayed long, intimate prayers at the Mount of Olives very early in the morning. When it's miracle time, His prayers are known to be shorter.
We should follow His example by praying intently during our devotional so that when we need the power of prayer in times of emergencies (when you barely have the time to pray), you've already prayed a lot.
God bless!

The first thing I do in the morning is to listen to the Bible while having a cup of tea. I use the Daily Audio Bible on the http://www.answersingenesis.org/ homepage to go through the Bible once a year. Listening to the Word of God first thing makes it much easier for me to subsequently read, meditate or pray.
Prayer is two way communication and God wants you to spend time listening to Him. Jesus' disciples saw the relationship that He had with His Father and pleaded, "Lord, teach us how to pray." I continue to pray this prayer and He continues to teach me. Jesus also said, "My sheep shall know my voice." Pray that God does make His voice known to you. As you spend time in real fellowship with God it can sometimes be a pain having to come back to the physical world and deal with teenage daughters etc.
It can also be very useful to meditate on the Word last thing before sleeping - you will sometimes wake up with completely new insights. As you get used to meditating, get into the habit of taking a notebook and pen with you at all times - God can speak to you through any situation and it's useful to note it down immediately before you forget the details.
Above all, don't give up, God does reward those who persistently seek Him.

what I do to get myself to go pray instead of doing something else is first I find out how long I need to do it, then I set a certain time for prayer every morning. Every morning I tell myself that if I don't pray during that time I have to do X (put in something you don't like). It really works.
this also helps if you rush through

1) why are you doing the devotion in the first place, focus on that intention
2) find a good, quiet, place (where no one can disturb you)
3) concentrate
4) pray, afterwich be silent for a few minutes, then say amen. you're done

Imaging this you are in love with the most wonderful person in the whole universe, would you not like to be really tight with Him, talking to Him about everything, about other people in need and also to tell Him how much you love Him and how wonderful you feel since He came into your heart, If you look at it this way it will be so easy. God bless you, Tell Him that you love Him constantly in return He will love you more.

Yes I do and I fully agree with "kat-dog" - Its best to schedule a particular slot of time every morning for your daily prayers. For example, I've scheduled mine for just after bath every morning (whether I bathe at 7 a.m. or 9 a.m. or 11 a.m., never mind)
Its when you feel freshest and ready to start the day and works wonders for your state of mind and mental health. try it and you'll know what I mean !!!

I pray a lot of times a day... I give thanks for all my meals...
I give thanks for the day, and my life, and either the warm sunshine or the cold rain, as its a part that will make the Earth flourish...
I give thanks for my family, that the LORD has blessed me with! And I give thanks many times a day, when I stop just to "see" the World, and all its beauty and splendors...
Just stop for a few seconds and say "Thanks" to the LORD...Its all it takes! Thank HIM for what ever comes into your mind at the time. Even the hardships, for it strenghtens our Faith, when we rely on the LORD to overcome each of them...
I wish you well..
