I have to agree with you somewhat here, though I would have posed the question with a little more reverence - I suppose that comes down to personality.
I have found that black people tend to be more closed up on the personal side when you're getting to know them - I think this has been brought about by the culture of racism and judgmental-ness that comes from living in a society as a minority. White people do tend to ask me more personal questions, that I feel shouldn't be asked. For example, if I say to someone, "well, I have to go, I can only stay here until two o'clock." They'll respond, "Oh, okay. Do you have a lunch date or something?" Not that it's terribly invasive, it's just annoying and uncouth. If I say I have to leave, leave it at that...don't ask me any friggin' questions about it. Don't try to quiz me to find out what my underlying thought is...sometimes I get asked questions I deem very personal and so I know where you're coming from.

I am bi-racial, so I have grown up with both blacks and whites. I don't find that this is an issue with whites, but with every race. Many people are nosy, not just Caucasians. I think you should just be a little more open and not so judgmental. The "nosy" white people that you have encountered do not represent the entire population. Try to take the focus off of race.

I am a white person and have been asked some PQ's by black people , I wont say it here but it had to do with the genitals , WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE A BLACK AND WHITE ISSUE.THAT is why racismn will never go away we keep doing it to our selves. I am a member of the human race and i ask dumb questions of all races. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! PS I AM WHITE AS I SAID AND HAVE NEVER ASKED YOU A PERSON QUESTION . White people are just nosey. I am white, but I see it happed all the time. I do not get into an african americans personal information because I am not a nosey white person.

I don't generally ask anyone personal questions...white or black. What kind of people are you hanging around/working with that they ask you personal questions and touch your hair? Maybe it's time to make some new friends or find a new job.

No, I find its a trait in ALL PEOPLE!!
Everyone is curious about thier fellow human beings. And, the only way to find out about some one is to "ask questions"!
Dont take offense, to them... Its the only way for some one to find out if your compatible to be thier friend...
