There is certainly a life after death. There is a soul within you and it is eternal and cannot be destroyed by the death of this body.

Eternity will happen. I am only sure that this life is the only one I have now, so I try to make sure that it is the best it can be for those I love and myself.

Next life, if there is one, I will be ignorant of all the worrying I did about it in this one. If there is a God and all that I know that I fall way short of the criteria required to be a player in heaven, so I will be in hell with the rest of most of us.

Generally, when I feel like dwelling on this, I remind myself that it's just my ego, that it is not really all about me, and get on with what I can have an influence with.
I accept that I was born, and will die, ignorant of the afterlife and that all the living who have speculated before me are dead now also and their guess was/is as good as mine.

Eternity appears in my mind, as a flat screen, in the distance. It's seems so two dimensional. I'm sure time continues, but I guess my mind is limited to the finite.

That flat screen may be what is called the end of time. And looking back, the beginning is quite similar...

Next life? I can't think straight what's happening in this life...Eternity, yes. Thank God, life on Earth is not eternity...

You know, I was thinking about death about an hour ago when I came across great thought by a great man.. I'll share it with you all....

"Samuel Clemens/Mark Twain was once asked whether he feared death. He said that he did not, in view of the fact that he had been dead for billions and billions of years before he was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it."

Thats about how I feel about the whole thing. He stated it nicely. The only thing about death that worries me (other then the obvious fear of new things) is not being around to help out those I love anymore.

When my energy leaves this body, it will give life to another body - re-birth. This will happen as long as I crave for worldly comforts. The day I get rid of that craving, I will attain eternity, where I will not crave for anything !

Yes, much more than that talking in time and depth.
What are you now more afraid about:

death or
eternity?

What next life? This is it, buddy, according to the factual evidence- assuming we only use verifiable evidence and not the imaginations and quotations of theists as fact.
