Men ignore so much... they just sometimes seem to have no capacity to respond to more than they do...

Sometimes people ignore messages because they just don't seem to be asking for a reply - in general men need a lot more explicit signals than women do. They're not so great at picking up inferred meanings, body language etc.
Sometimes they do it because they don't want to encourage the person texting them. If it's a new relationship and they don't text back pretty quickly, then either they are busy, or - sorry if this sounds harsh - maybe just not that interested in you. If they're really into you then the messages will most likely be flying backwards and forwards! (Unless they're busy!) Personally I think that a relationship is only going to be worthwhile when both people put in the same amount of effort, so if it's a new thing and that's not happening then don't bother with it - save yourself the future hassle!
If it's a relationship that's been going a while then often why text a reply when you'll be seeing them soon anyway. My fiancé and I often leave messages unanswered if there isn't an urgent need for them, although we do text just to say hi sometimes (generally initiated by me, the woman, though!).

Personally it begins with the person. When someone reaches out, u should respond, regardless of the circumstances. Not responding is selfish, in my opionion. If the motivation is to hold some invisible power over another (as if u had such power .Not responding envokes more questioning. Redeem the qualities as our mothers taught us "to do unto others as you would have them do unto u". Seriously

I don't believe on a whole they do! And if they don't reply instantly it is probably because they are secure enough not to have to check their telephone every 30 seconds in order to reassure themselves of popularity. Sorry girls but we don't all hang aroung waiting to be texted allday!

Its not just men. In fact Im surprised that question isn't directed towards women considering how many times they do it.

They ignore them when they don't want to talk to the other person. It is a polite way of saying your are bugging me and I don't want to talk. You should read the writing on the wall. The cat is getting bothered by you.

properly, ignoring him might want to be the recommend thanks to get out of it - do you want to come back off like that? Or, you may want to tell him. issues might want to be a touch awkward at first yet they could ultimately fall decrease back into position. only tell him that you aren't from now on fascinated anymore and word what he has to assert. only ensure the way you want to come back off even as dealing with the challenge.
