God exists even though some people do not believe. During their life time they struggle a lot to prove that God does not exist. However NONE of them have the ability to prove so.
When the time comes to leave this world they repent at the last minute thinking "why I did not believe God????" So automatically they tend to say "Oh My God...please help me"...
What I can say is God will exactly help them and save their souls. Because they truly repent at the time of their death for what they did.

I have known several atheists, and they're always bitter people with strange psychological problems. Saying, "Oh God please help me!" before death doesn't really mean much. To be saved one must "believe in his heart God raised him (Jesus Christ) from the dead (Rom.10:9); that makes one a witness of the resurrection. God would like for all men to see it his way and accept his Christ (I Tim.2:4). However, God will not be mocked, so no one will receive salvation on a technicality. As far as atheists are concerned, they need our compassion, patience, guidance and prayers. They are not the enemy, the devil is.

I don't buy that.
I guess religion is the believe you live in, not faith you acknowledge.
Whatever your religion is, as long as you live it well, you don't hurt people, you're doing good deeds, it's better from any faithful murderer.
You can't judge atheist idiots. Some atheists done more goods than God's lambs. There are certain contradiction or even violence in every religion. Sometimes it's better to stand aside and continue living a good life than having bleeding hands in the name of God.

Thanks for the insult. I will not argue my IQ with you, but admit I disagree with your viewpoint. I posted to a question like this before and can honestly tell you that with as much death I've seen in my field of work religion never played a major role in it. . If what your writing it is by your wittness you should be hopeful of that person you obvislay caredabout having found salvation. I know there is alof of Anxiety and Fear going along with the dying process, but also know there will be Hospice to ease that. Peace Dude

Same reason a Jew uses the expression "cross to bear". It's a figure of speech. If he'd said "Oh sh*t!" would that mean he'd crapped his pants? Gosh, you god-botherers are really grasping at straws, aren't you? This was a convention phrase, not a death-bed conversion nor a supernatural experience. Get over yourself.

You will be freed from your religion

Neither you nor I know what goes through a mind of an Athiest, before he dies, so, we cant make judgement, (nor should we, as he is on the road to be judged), so, its best left up to the LORD for disbursement...
I wish you well..

It's just a figure of speech. Like when I say "Oh my god, what the hell is that?" I'm not asking god to tell me what that something is.
