What's ur personal view on Islam?

Islam is the greatest and most trustworthy religion....

many ppl don't understand Islam or Muslims and they believe we're terrorists or uncivilised and that's wat the media has showed but if a non-Muslim meets a true Muslim, he/she will see that we're the kindest and most peaceful ppl on earth :)

and if only ppl would read the Koran thoroughly, they will understand wat Islam is all about and how it is true that it is the religion of God

This is just an observation, as I am not really very familiar with Islam. Like all religions, Islam to most muslims is, I think, a real and genuine faith, and is followed according to the Qoran (sorry, spelling?).
The sad thing is that evil and godless men hellbent on destruction and mass murder, hide behind it as an excuse for their actions. They are no more true muslims following the faith of Islam, than the early spanish inquisitors who tortured many many people, were true Christians.

Mostly I only know what I hear or read about, but I am friends with a muslim family, the women are a delight to know, very gentle and kind, the men a bit arrogant, and quite rude to non muslim women, but that could also apply to some men anywhere I guess.

Personally, it frightens me a bit, as the terrorist type fanatics, are completely without conscience or mercy, so there is no defence against that......

Islam is a great religion teaches us how to respect and live peacefully with others, teaches us to respect all other religion, to forgive and treat others( no matter if they are black or white,rich or poor, old or young in a nice way because when we die all we carry with us to the judgment day is our work nothing else. Islam teaches us to live simple life cause everything else is perishable

yes some people are spoiling Islam's image but that doesn't mean Islam is bad, Islam like any other religion has bad and good people.

It's hard to say it, but many people in America get the wrong idea about Islam as a religion because they know that the terrorists were the followers of Islamic religion. However I believe that Islam is a peacefull religion that is being represented wrong. I have a best friend who follows the Quran.

Islam is a religion... terrorists in some cases are human beings who happen to be of Islam faith.... not to say all are but in todays world thats how it seems.... but Islam has nothing to do with a psycho who wants to die for a moronic belief .... It's a Holy Religion,and when I read the Talmud (Jewish Holy Book) I realised Judaism does not know Jesus Christ. Judaism hates Jesus Christ. They consider him the anit-Christ and they are waiting for their Messaih,however,Islam recognises Jesus as a phrophet and believe in all His miracles,the Virgin Mary is a sacred Virgin in Islam,while the jews consider Jesus to be a bastard,I was shocked by the comparison,Christianity is Closer to Islam,many verses in the Koran praises Jesus and the Virgin Mary,the jews,however,are considered "traitors" to the prophets and they are no longer the chosen ones,true followers of the Holy book of Islam have to respect Jesus,the Virgin Mary and Christianity because Jesus is considered to be one of the Holiest prophets of all time,Mohammed preached that to his followers,the more i read,the more i discovered the strong similarity of the three Holy Religions,there are verses in the Koran explaining how the jews tortured Jesus.

Anyway, Islam is just like all other religions, a creation of mortal humans which tries to explain the nature of God (whom no one has ever seen), and what happens to us after death (which only dead people know). In other words, religions are all only interesting and creative fiction.

Islam is a very peaceful religion, you really should read the koran before you make judgements about violence.

Some radicals fight in the name of Islam, but most other muslims don't support them.
