First of all, Samson didn't commit suicide. He killed hundreds of Phillistines at one time and died in the process. If someone commits suicide, they are taking on the part of God. I don't think God would like it if someone thinks that they know better than him when the end of their life should be. If they were seriously mentally ill, then I think he would have compassion. Truth is though, most people that kill themselves do it because they are depressed or mad at someone/something trivial and are not really mentally ill. That's what I think.

I think that if there is a God he will understand certain people's reasons for suicide.

I think more people than you realize are closer to suicide than you would ever think. I think about it alot but haven't attempted it or anything. If my son was ever to die there is a 99% chance I would kill myself immediately if I didn't die of heartbreak. Which I think can happen. A guy heard all of his grandkids died in a car wreck and had a heartattack and died right there on the spot.

successfully killing yourself will bring you many lives of wanting to be in this same pattern. you will not get any relief from it, for a long time. It is worse that killing someone else.

Sometimes suicide isn't bad.
Remember Samson? He killed himself and I'm sure he's going to heaven. (god gave him his strength back at the end remember)

so says you, but you aren't god, and god surely realizes that people who kill themselves are mentally ill and not responsible for their actions. therefore, they would be treated like an innocent child.
