If all the Mexicans (not Mexican-Americans, but just Mexicans) left the US today, by tomorrow there would be chaos. Remember a couple of months ago, when they took ONE DAY off work to make the point? OK, some of the ones who stayed home were Mexican-Americans, in the sense that they were citizens or resident aliens with green cards. But balance them off against the number of Mexicans who worked that day because they felt they had to.
Much of why the "illegal" immigrants are able to work for such pitifully low wages is that Mexican families are very tight, and several wage earners will be pooling their funds to support the family. Imagine an American teen-ager handing over his entire paycheck to his father or mother, week after week, just to cover necessities? Ha! (No, a new CD is not a necessity, kids!) But Mexican kids do that all the time, and understand that they must if the family is to survive.
As I was saying, if the Mexicans all left, we'd have quite a mess. Most fast food restaurants would have to close, grocery stores would ask you to bag your own groceries, and might never get the stuff onto the shelves at all; the crops would rot in the fields; people with no time (or inclination, or talent) to clean their houses would live in filth, the hotels and hospitals would fill up with garbage, etc. We owe a huge debt to these under-appreciated, underpaid workers, and we'd better stop playing games with the immigration laws or face a disaster.

In the 80's a person could support a family on the 19 dollars an hour they made at a meat packing plant...The same job goes for less than 10 dollars today...This is because of illegal immigration, It is not a matter of do not want to do..it is a matter of being able to support a family and retain the American standard of living.
...after giving it some thought the only job a Mexican is doing that an American "wont" do is smuggle Humans across the border.

You are missing the whole issue here. The majority of the jobs that American won't do are the agriculture jobs in CA. The mexicans have drastically under cut the market with jobs like construction, painting, drywall, brick laying, and cooking. Companies are willing to pay less because the mexicans will work for dirt cheap wages. The mexican can afford this because they live 20 to a house, which also allows them to send most of their money back to Mexico. Some have said that money sent from illegal aliens is the number two revenue resource of the Mexico. That means they don't spend the money here and that hurts our economy tremendously. Then when you add the social programs that they take advantage of, it really gets up there. I feel sorry for the legit Mexican-American that wants to stay here and create a life for himself and his family. Trust me, I own a business and I live in Atlanta, and we have tons of them in the city.

Yeah that is genuine that some human beings do their own living house paintings and backyard paintings, humorous component is that those that don't do their own, hire illegals to do it for them. human beings are those that are lazy and don't desire to pay the finished volume out to labors alongside with in shape, so they hire those they are able to apply, the those that have not have been given a voice. in case you walk right into a inn you will see no longer something yet immigrants cleansing the rooms. Why is that this, as a results of fact maximum human beings have self belief they are too good to do such menial jobs. we will not fault ALL of those those that come to u . s . for an enhanced life. We as human beings could upward push up and help the international places that want the help extremely than hating people who're only attempting to maintain their households alive and properly.

I think you expressed it clearly enough. And I agree with you, mostly, anyways.Hispanic illegals DO most of the grunt work in our country. And they get paid far less than most any american would think to work for. It's sad that some people refuse to believe this. But i do think it would be funny to see some of those same people picking cotton in 100 degree heat ! LOL. it sure would change their minds about immigration laws, huh?
On the end note,I do have to say that some americans do those jobs also.I've seen american maids and construction workers and american people working at micky d's.It's just that the majority of us want easier jobs if we can find them. But some of us don't finish school and end up flipping burgers our whole lives.

What you don't seem to understand is that if the illegal aliens were deported and those jobs were left unfilled, the US would allow more legal immigrants in to fill those jobs, and those legal immigrants, most coming from Mexico and other South and Central American countries, would be paid better, treated better, and have the rights of every other legal resident of the US. Illegal immigration hurts the illegals and Mexicans (and a whole lot of other nationalities) who what to legally immigrate more than it hurts anyone else.
This is how immigration works. Countries loosen their immigration policies when they have zero unemployment and need more workers, both skilled and unskilled. When they need only skilled workers, only those with the needed skills can legally immigrate. That means that unskilled workers, many of whom come from Mexico, can't legally immigrate because all the unskilled jobs are taken by illegal immigrants, some of whom are actually skilled but can't be hired for their skills because they don't have papers.
I think YOU need to get it together. My husband will try to immigrate the legal way because, for god's sake, he respects the country enough to want to respect its laws. If you can't respect our laws, why should we have any sympathy for you. You make it more difficult for people like my husband who would be an upstanding citizen of the US.

The only job I see they do actually that I might not do, is picking fruit...but if it meant my family surviving I would do it. They can work for dirt cheap cuz they know there is nothing they can do cuz they are working under the table. Since they pay no taxes they get more money. Why should I pay for their kids to go to school ?

thank you someone agree's with me,
but no one is complaining when a company relocates for cheaper wages,
everyone needs someone or something to blame,
and excuses never solved any problem,i worked seven days a week most my life, and i made more money in the 80's on somethings than today and the mexican's had nothing to do with ,inflation or the drop of salaries, next it will be there fault for high gas prices if left to some

Lol, Mexicans aren't paying taxes that we Americans don't want to pay. How come they can't appreciate the US and come here legally if they want those jobs so bad, eh?
And just so you know, not everyone has the "I'm too good" attitude. If it came down to it, I'd scrub toilets for 2 dollars an hour if my family needed.
