Everyone blames God for their problem, eventhough they don't live their life according to the Bible. Look for the good in your life - and look for the true reasons for your problems.
Maybe you should have seen the strength in yourself to do something legally about yur dad's anger - it is possible.
You miss your grandparents, but everyone has to die. Consider them lucky to have known you and consider yourself lucky to have known them - I cant do the same.
It's a true shame about your sister - but AIDS is a sad price that innocent and guilty alike have to pay for this troubled world. Try not to concentrate on the pain of having aids but be thankful that there's better medicine out there that your sister can take. Be thankful that you can be that rock in her life. Use this experience to help others in a similar situation and contribute your efforts to the better good of this world.
Once you remove yourself from your cloud of self-pity, you'll see that there are ways to channel all the pain that you've had in your life into some good and pure for the world.
If that doesn't work, think about:
The chiildren around the world eating off of streets
The children who don't even have food to eat
The number of children born with HIV without access to proper medication.
The people who have never drank a clean glass of water
The many women and children sold as sex slave
Your life might have been tough - but there's always someone out there worse off and doing something to help them is always the best help you can give yourself. Maybe that's what God wants us to do in the first place

Unfortunately, suffering is universal - even God and Jesus suffers. The world follows set rules that cannot be broken - everybody dies (mortality is the only thing in the world with 100% probability). People contract diseases through various means - but each in their own set way. Your sister got Aids through one of these ways (I don't know which way) - it didn't simply fall on to her from the sky. Your father was abusive - not God.
The Bible says that nature is mankind's sister that was frustrated and damaged along with mankind when man first sinned. Can I ask you to think about this - if the fall of man still occurred, but the Earth remained perfect, would man ever realise that they sinned and thus ever be able to find salvation? The answer is no: mankind would be able to live a life of perfect, self-sufficient hedonism, totally unaware of their need for God. Another person would not be able to physically hurt you - the need not steal from you as everything would be provided for. Pain and suffering reminds us that there must be more to life than what is here and now. However, as we now live today in a world where (in comparison to others, today and throughout history) we have a lot less suffering (it is still present, but not into the day-to-day way it was, where a cut on the hand, or biting your tongue could prove fatal), and many people try to go for the hedonistic approach to life.
I believe suffering has its purpose - it may not be pleasant, but a world without suffering is a world even more cursed than our own. And remember - God suffers along side everyone else, Jesus mourned over the death of loved ones. If suffering has no purpose, than why do we suffer? Why are we not happy when someone we love dies?
I'm not trying to minimize your suffering - you've suffered much more than I have. I don't believe suffering is a direct punishment from God, nor does he make us suffer as an example to others. It is just a general sign of the cursed nature of our world.

First of all I believe in God because HE IS! After that, I discover some about his nature and the condition of life from reading his Book the Bible. He is always showing people the best way for their life, but he also gave them free will so they can choose to go another way if they want... and lots do, hence trouble in paradise! Or you can look at it like an evil tree that was planted way back at the beginning when Adam and Eve allowed evilness to enter this world... the seed that was planted way back then has grown and born fruit for many years now causing the hurt pain and sickness etc that mar life itself. Jesus came and laid his life down so that we would have a chance to make the right decisions, but it is still up to each individual. God bless you, I encourage you to read the New testament, starting with John. And just talk to God, get to know him, because he IS there...

I wake up each day thanking my God for the sunshine and the rains, the flowers and the bees. You cannot make such beautiful sight and if I have no eyes to see them I can feel the heat and the warmth that envelops me. I breathe the air and the soft whisper of the wind. I can hear the laughter of little children and I thank my God because He made me in His own image and likeness. I was not lucky to be with my grandparents , my family had lots of diseases because of genetic defects, my mother and sister had cancer and I am a very sick person, but all these does not make me bitter. I believe that we are different but the does not mean that there is no GOD. Just open your heart to all the blessings that you've had and you will never doubt His existence.

Dude grandparents are supposed to die before us, they're older, it's not God's fault. Also, AIDs is 100% preventable these days (except for rape), so God isn't responsible for that either. Your dad's anger is part of his free will, print this question and show it to him maybe it will help. I believe in God because it's apparent in everything around me, this world didn't just happen by accident. Plus there is chocolate, which actually is a big part of my faith. I believe in God but I don't believe in any of the crappy, let's kill everybody else for god, religions out there. Think about the miracle of the human body, maybe that will help your faith. Sorry about the way your life has been lately, hope it gets better.

When I prayed deeply, that I had to cry, that almost I lose totally all my hope, then will come the answer, though it's not easy and not in a day or two. It really takes time what you asked will be given.
No ONE escapes death. What you should ask is they may live longer. Your sister got aids because of her deeds. Why not ask her to pray for herself? Make better for yourself and "don't give up" praying. Time will come that your father will go to you (just give "time" her time)...
In essence, we sometimes pray in wrong way that we don't get answer. Also, we are not patiently waiting for what we had asked that we stop praying.
I remembered what the Scriptures said, in 3 to 4 months before the seeds grow. What will you do so that the seeds would grow? You may answer for yourself, I will culture it, put water daily, take care of it from any danger (winds, footsteps). Then someday, when you truly taking care of what you sowed, you will really reap...

First, I am sorry to hear of the tragedies in your life.
Second, I wish that I could explain why I, even with my troubles, even with the slings and arrows that I have suffered, still have reason to believe in God (even when I am told by people who claim to be religious that I am damned anyway, because believing in God and serving Him is not enough).
I am at a point that I have lost faith in a great number of things - almost everything except God. So I don't know that I am of much help.
But if you are talking to your friend, and he/she is trying to help you in your faith, then I would encourage you to continue your conversations. I would also encourage you to seek our some spiritual counseling from someone who is knowledgable, trained, and (above all) understanding.
Good luck to you.
Peace.

None whatsoever. During my life I have not come across a single reason worth to look at, let alone consider seriously.
Why you would like to have a reason to believe (and into what?) Why not chose to know and think (or honestly admit that there are some unknown yet phenomena - our experience show that sooner or later we gain more and more knowledge).
Why not see the world as it is? I still feel good about Santa, but I am sorry for a grown up person who aggressively insists that he knows for sure Santa lives at North Pole.

Dear Friend,
I wish to offer you all my sympathies with what has happened to your family. Tell me one thing. You said that God has never answered your prayers ...but did u ever trust Him to do what only He can do? Or did u keep wondering whether He will be able to get u out of ur situation or not? God has worked what I call wonders in my life. Seriously. Remember, Jesus was full of sorrow at the thought of dying on the cross. He asked the Father to let "The Cup Pass Away from Him'' but he also said,"Let not my will but Thine be done".
Do u remember "Job"? He was a good man but he had to suffer so much but he perservered and he was rewarded greatly afterwards. Do u not know that gold is tested in fire? You are that GOLD ! Do u really and trully know the meaning of Perserverence?
Friend, please let go of things and let God work in your life. Read the Bible, cry out to God The Father and most important, learn to be SILENT. Only when you are silent within, will you be able to hear His Voice. Ask Him, tell Him just like a child would bring his broken toy, his broken dreams to his father. Pray really hard for your sister...yes miracles DO happen. I have witnessed them.
Just simply pray this ,"Father, I want to trust you. Please help me to trust in you completely".

Well, first of all those bad things were evil's doing --not God's....and I have had prayers in my past that were not answered for some reason. We cannot know God's purposes, or reasons, but sometimes we find out later in life. You must start at step 1- Having faith for yourself...did you ask these prayers with FAITH that they would happen ? Were you living "right" when you asked them?
My blessings/answered prayers increased when my faith did...
You cannot change your father--as I am a Christian and I STILL pray for my dad. But you can allow God to change you to better understand His purpose. Ask Him to help you.....He will
