Im getting an new laptop in September and we all know its an investment. What would you choose Standard XP or the Media Center Edition and is setting up wireless with NTL really easy.

media is more entertainment orientated
more video music software
pro is more business orientated more internet bassed software
home (std) is a poor mix of both
if you want to play some games and use the web
home edition is proberly the best

standard or pro if you can. media center adds a bunch of un needed programs to slow your cpu down. all computers do the same things as media center just with less garbage running in the background.
