Because a lot of women just assume that if men say that, they will get lucky.
Instead of trusting a guy who says that, WAIT and SEE how he puts that love into action (without giving him sex). tell him you want to wait for a while for sex. make sure he knows you aren't playing. At all. A guy who doesn't love you will vanish like a fart in the wind. A guy who does will wait forever.
Make sure you don't abuse a guy who actually proves he loves you by doing trifling crap. respect the fact that he chose to love you and wait for you. If you don't, you deserve to lose him to someone who will appreciate him.
