Im getting an new laptop in September and we all know its an investment. What would you choose Standard XP or the Media Center Edition and is setting up wireless with NTL really easy.

If you think that you will choose your laptop as media center, like to record TV programing, sharing pictures and music, then i think you should go with Medica Center Edition.
Standard XP is just standard operating system and it wont let you record any tv shows or sharing music etc...

Do you get the tv tuner card together with Laptops or do you need to buy them seperatly. If you was to choose between the two what would you choose. If you have the tv tuner card how do you get digital channels into the computer.

I got Media Centre and haven't used any of the additional features yet. And you can only watch tv if you have a tuner card

if u have a good multimedia pc then media center edition should be good, else choose standard xp.
