you no you should not put yourself down.. Low self esteem and low confidence is the most unattractive way to be. This is no way to live, love and learn. Please be happy. Its not what others say that matters its who you are inside that counts.

just try to understand first why are you having this inferiority complex and then try to reason with yourself are you been ridiculed or you are making yourself feel this. the best solution is not to isolate yourself as it will aggravate the situation but try to change yourself, think postive see things with a different view dont bother what others say, and remain focused on improving yourself and you will see yourself in new light.
just that you are low on confidence right now nothing great to worry about . many are there out there like you but its just a passing phase and i am sure you will get out of it.take care
