Question

Do you know how many times the KJV of the Bible was translated from the original Greek and Hebrew to the version that is used today?

How many scholars were used to translate it?

How many to over see the process?

How many years did it take to translate?

Now, tell me, if you can find these answers, and you can even on unbiased web sites, how can you continue to say it has been translated over and over again, when we have a single translation from original laungauge, so carefully undertaken, with specific rules NOT to add to or take away from the original text, and backed by MANY men, in diffrent work groups to assure no one mans ideal came through?

By NO MEANS am I saying it is the only one that is accurate. I AM saying, that the idea that the Bible we use, any of us, has been translated so many times, and in such unreliable fashion, noone can believe it anymore, is just a bunch of bunk. It IS accurate, IS reliable, and people should learn about it a little, before they make up the "facts" that it is not reliable, when History itself tells us it is.

Translated Once, from Original manuscripts, usin in comparison only, the Wycliff version, from Latin Vulgate.

4 overseers, working in diffrent shifts everyday, to make sure nothing slipped through anothers set.

BTW, the apparent "gospels that were left out, were for a reason, but thats biblical canon, and for another day!

Did you know that they were inspired and controlled by the Holy Spirit as the worked to accurately translate God Holy Word to the English language. Do you not know that God has the Power to control a mans actions when performing a job under God's control.

1. It has been translated about 1,000 times and interpreted by different people in a million ways.


2. No scholars translated - it was done by Duds

3. No body did over see - the people who had to oversee did it

4. Didn't take much long to translate - after all it is a small book.

5. It obviously has been manipulated from the original scripts and not all the disciples scripts were used - for example - St. Thomases Script, Mary Magdalene's script.

the important thing to note is that transators put a prefix in the original King James Bible that said this was the most accurate translation they could do, and that there may be some mistakes.
the Best Bible i've ever had is the Companion Bible from Kregel Publishing, edited by the well known and respected Dr. Bollinger, that about two-thirds of the page of each page are footnotes as to the original word in the hebrew or chaldean, and later greek. a Strongs exhaustive concordance has dictionaries for each of these languages, so you can cross-reference the exact word yourself to check for accuracy.
also, for historical irony and/or God winks - check the story of king James himself and why he made this Bible, and what happened to him shortly thereafter.

If you will spend a minimum of effort you will find many books on the Council of Sidrin (sp????) and the Latinization of the original gutter Greek manuscript sources. But, all I can tell you is we can see the bastardization of manuscripts across the ages.

The Jews said we got it totally wrong in translating their texts.

KJV I had to be quickly revised when it did come out. Imagine, the 10 commandments admonishing Thou Shalt Commit Adultry.

I encourage you to read a book by Will Durrant, "Ceasar and Christ" to begin some structuring of your knowledge. You'll find this award-winning book at the public library.

I know someone that talks about this kind of thing a lot.

She was on a anti-Isaiah kick at the time. I told her that the Book of Isaiah could have come out of the rear-end of a donkey, and it would still be worth paying attention to. There's prophecy in that Book that took place, and will take place.

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Keep an eye on Damascus.

If you were to write a new bible today, assuming you know the languages, you would go to the original text and translate. What you think that they would translate then throw the originals away?
Think about your question!

One man translates, and eather you learn the language of the original or you must trust the translator.

Do not have a non beleaver translate for you!

Your question is difficult to fathom. Are you defending the authenticity of the KJV? Why? There is no question that it is a good translation. It is good, but it is not perfect; no current bible translation is perfect.

What it is NOT, is the ONLY reliable translation in existance. It is not.

I beleive it has been written once...in 1611, and then reset in type in 3 other instances to clear up simply typing errors (common before the days of moveable type.

The words stayed the same, simply cleared up typing errors, especially before there was a delete or backspace key.

If it was not true, the prophecies in the bible would not be fulfilled.

Some of the prophecies just fulfilled not many years ago e.g.

1Tim 4:1-3 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, (e.g. New age movement)

through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared,

who forbid marriage (more people of these days prefer moving in with someone before they marry them and they also discourage people to do that) and require abstinence from foods( there are MORE people who call themselves vegetarians and stuff) that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

People are more doubtful of the coming of Christ than 50 years ago:

2Pe 3:3-4 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.

They will say, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation."

HOMOSEXUALITY WILL ABOUND MORE:

These days governments ALLOWED marriage between same GENDER!

Rom 1:27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Actually the original bible who is written in Hebrew (actually i dont know exectly in which language) but the thuth is: we found bible in all the languages but not its orignal language coz that was lost and every person who translate it use his/her best knowledge but original God's words are lost......
