I live in an apartment building and the walls and ceiling are thin. The neighbors next to me are always screaming and partying until 3 or 4 in the morning. Makes it really hard to sleep. Then in the morning when I wake up, the people upstairs start throwing each other around. They fight and scream all day. I've tried the police and the building management but no luck. I've got two kids here and they don't need this as much as I don't need this. Help?

Keep calling the police, they have to do something. Tell them you have kids that need their sleep and they don't need to be hearing all the screaming and everything. Until then, try ear plugs. Seriously, get some for the kids to.

I'm not sure what you should do. My family and I used to live in a house that was next to a party house too. They always made loud noise. We just had to deal with it unfortunately. Maybe I can learn something from the questions that will soon pop up too. I'm sorry about your current situation.

for the neighbor upstairs when they are asleep get a broom handle and and hit the ceiling as hard and as many times as you can where their bedroom is. for the neighbor next door lock them up inside their apartment maybe they will shut up. or bang on their walls to when their asleep.

I don't know really. I would consider moving out ASAP (if all possible). Contact management and tell them what's going on and also ask them if you can either switch apartments within the complex or you will move out.

Police, again. Keep trying until it works, I suppose.
How long ago did you move in? Seriously, if they do this so regularly, why didn't you move back out? That's always Plan B again.

Management has broke the lease by permitting this to go on. You have legal rights. Call a lawyer. You do not have to stay there.

if the police and management are useless, i suggest finding another place to live.
i do find it odd the police can't stop the 3/4am noise. where do you live? most cities/towns have noise laws. you should look into that.

If the cops won't make them shut up, then presumably they won't make you shut up either, so try fighting back. They've got to sleep sometime, and then you make as much noise as you can.

If you can't get satisfactory resolution with the police or your landlord then it sounds like it is time to find somewhere else to live.
