Be direct about it - men like confidence in women, especially that kind of conference.
However, be sublime about it. Don't go up saying 'I think you're hot' - that might freak people out. On the other hand if you tell him you think he's cool and leave it at that, that will make him think.
After that casual attention grabber, ignore him completely - make him come to you. You made your chess move, now it's his to make. I know it sounds like a game, childish almost, but your in a weird situation as is.
Also, don't bend over backwards to be noticed. If he doesn't come back to you, I wouldn't push it. Girls who compliment you all the time can be a turn-off.
All things considered, just make the snowball first. It will be up to him to make the snowman, preferably one that will be to your liking.

Do not sell yourself to Jared or anyone else. You're too precious to try to make them all notice you. Believe me that all boys notice girls the moment they set their eyes upon them but some like (out of silly male vanity) to play the hard-to-get on them. So just ignore him and he (or someone else much better) will come to you like an obedient puppy.

if you want something that badly that you will do "anything 4 him" then you should back again and reassess what you are doing.
You should never be in a position to sabtogage yourself.
The best thing might be to approach Jared alone and tell him how you feel. If that isn't for you, then you should wait until you are mature enough to do so.
