My scanner was working before until my office caught a problem and I had to reinstall it. But the problem is my office installer doesn't have the scan utility feature. And then I realized that my scanner doesn't have a software on its own to allow me to do the scanning. I mean, it did had an installer but only for its driver. So my problem now is how can I scan?

well you can always go to the website that made your scanner and they almost always have the downloads for whatever you need. A free scanning/editing program called gimp works great. I use it for taking pics for stuff i list on ebay. Works great.... go to

Better buy the software from where you bought your computer...
Otherwse try google search
or go to downloading.com and search for scan software..

ask the company you bought it from. they would know what the problem is.
