OK, no Scarcasim.
The Bible flat out says in the New Testament do NOT seek out mediums.
I have seen palm readers, and other "mediums" and frankly they're con artists- notice the way how they ask quesitons that forces the person who wants the information to answer their own quesitons.

my advice to you if you do go and see someone. Ask them if you can record the session. The reason being that they (if they are genuine) will tell you a lot of stuff. some of it will make sense at the time and some of it will be meaningless. Every now and then play the tape back to your self. As your life moves on more of what they told you will make sense. My mum did this and some of what the medium said in the session did not happen until 2 years later. An example she told my mum that her sister would be involved in a car accident and the car would be a specific colour and make and that my aunt would be ok. It happened. try and only answer yes and no to their questions. That way you know they have given you the information and not the other way round.
a member of my family did a reading for my mum while I was in the room. Only she ended up not reading for my mum but for me and she was saying things that I had never told another soul. Things that were going on in my head. I really wish I could have recorded it.
An alternative to seeing a medium is to try a spiritualist church. I've heard they are very good.

Be very careful. Some mediums may be genuine but many pry on peoples grief and vulnerability.
They use a technique called Cold Reading which is very powerful, you can read a bit more at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_reading
Derren Brown has done some stunning experiments to prove how a skilled person make you think they have a special gift and can see things for you.
Some people get solace from feeling they are making a connection with someone they miss. However, it can also be very upsetting. My mother saw a medium and was so upset it brought on a serious illness - people tend not to tell you about the negative experiences.
I'm sorry for your loss - it sometimes helps to ask yourself what would the peole you are trying to contact would say about this? They would probably advise against it?
Take care.

I know some genuine ones, and they will tell you stuf that is frighteningly accurate and for free. One of my greatest friends is a native american guy does clairvoyance, and meduimship. He does events where he charges, most of the money is donated to charity, he does not do it for profit, but to give hope to people.
If you go and see one that charges, maintain a poker face, some charlatans will try and do something called "cold reading" where they will calibrate your facial expressons and will say vague things until you give off a little flinch and thats how they work.
I've seen too much and experienced too much to dismiss their authenticity. Clairvoyance exists, it just finding one that is genuine. Their standard of living is no guide either.
Genuine clairvoyants do not do this for profit or material gaiin, its just something they have to live with. A lot of people with this gift have trouble dealing with the images and feeling they get from people. Looking at their material possessions is no guide whatsoever.
If possible go with a personal recommendation as there is no better testimony to authenticity. Also if you can ammend your question to state roughly where you live, someone may be able to pass on a name to you.
If you are anywhere in the north east, the Native American chap I was on about has been on 4 TV shows this year and is well renowned in the North East of England. His link is posted below. I and hundreds of others can testify to his authenicity. Be wary of fakes at all times, they prey on your sadness.
Good luck, and remember, those that have crossed over are at peace.

I went to see a medium a few years ago and was completely blown away by what she told me. Not about be, but about my boyf at the time. He was in the army and had had an accident. She told me abou this and that he'd hurt his neck (it was broken!). She also told me that he had a friend called Kelvin (not a common name) who was going somewhere hot soon (he was going on his honeymoon!). There were various other things but these 'facts' that she plucked out of thin air were just amazing!

hello,i am a medium ,if you want answers to your quesion ask me,you should be able to do that on my e-mail address, don,t know if you can get it on here as i,m new to this site.
i quite agree with the person who said there are e few con artists out there, they are the one,s that make all true mediums false, which is a shame as we only try to help people understand that their loved ones who have passed to the spirit world are now safe and feel no more pain.

I did not go thru a medium but met the jin itself. It came to me while in the university and i was sleeping. Rather than ask it for anything i drove it away and ran back to my room.
I woke up and learnt to study more about God and worship Him more and put more reliance on Him.
You cannot gain assess to the dead and those medium you talked about are agents of lies and deception.
To be factual, you do not need to assess the dead, let them face their problem with clear head rather than adding to it. You are asking to be aided in atheism.
Its not fair to belief and faith. Be Godly and let go idolatory

Yes. many years ago my wife, my mother and I found some one who was correct in EVERY detail of our three lives. Our pasts, the present, ( at that time ) and our immediate futures. We could not fault her on anything. She was almost frightening with her accuracy. We have always wished we could find her again, but alas to no avail.

i certainly have.
in my early thirties a fortuneteller told me not to give up hope since i would soon meet a girl i would fall in love with and marry, we would have one son, and even though i had always expected to live my whole life in the town where i grew up i would soon move to a big city in the south of england (i was told this while visiting my family in clitheroe, lancashire).
this was all very interesting.
i had been married for ten years. we had two daughters. and though i grew up in wales we were living in africa at the time.
