Lots of different things can cause yeast infections...external bacteria, taking antibiotics, blood sugars out of whack. They can be caused by nothing external or they can also be passed through sexual intercouse if a guy has sex with a woman who has a yeast infection and then passes it to another woman. Men can get yeast infections as well but the cure usually only entails him putting some cream on his willie...not so easy for women.

Wearing nylon panties, or panty hose pany girdles or other garments that make the warm moist mucous membranes of the vagina more prone to develp a bothersome itchy yeast infection! Try to wear cotton panties and if you wear panty hose, try to get the ones with the cotton crotch panel. Ventilation will help keep the yeast from reproducing.
Taking even a short course of anti-biotics can also cause a woman to develop a yeast infection, the antibiotic kills of all forms of bacteria, even the helpful type that helps us maintain a healthy balance of enzymes and flora in our systems to help us resist yeast infection. Warm moist places, are where yeast like it the BEST!
Regular treatments with an over the counter medication (even the type that takes 7 days of application every night before bedtime). If it seems that the yeast is not getting any better, you may require the help of a doctor. I am a woman, so this may sound a bit strange, but let things air out uh down below. When you are home for the evening, put on a nice confortable gown, wear no panties, and allow things to breath and dry a little. A yeast infection can be so miserable, so if it does not clear up with the over the counter meds, you may need professional medical help.
Good luck. Yeast is a fungal infection, and it can become a serious thing, severe yeast that can affect your intestines is called "Candida Albicans" and one of the really good things you can do to fight this is to regulate it with diet, cut out refined sugars, eat yogurts and no fermented foods (like pickles or things with vinegar because these items only seem to feed the Candida. When you buy yogurts be sure it says they contain live and active cultures, if you get a topical yeast rash, you can put plain yogurt on it to ease it some (works at least 50% of the time). You do not have to pay more for yogurts, to get the ones with the active cultures, I get my yogurt from Safeway and it's usually about 2 for $1. their yogurts are as healthy as the expensive types. Once again be careful that you are not feeding the yeast with sugars, and internal yeast infections can make you gain weight too! Because your body begins to really crave sugars or other items that are not good for you!
Be healthy!

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aMAtb
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

A yeast infection occurs when the normal levels of acid and yeast in the vagina are out of balance and cause a very uncomfortable, but not serious, condition called a yeast infection.
yeast infection is caused by one or more of the following:
Hormonal changes that come with pregnancy or before your period
Taking hormones or birth control pills
Taking antibiotics or steroids
High blood sugar, as in diabetes
Vaginal intercourse
Douching
Blood or semen

Yeast infection happens rare usually attacts immunosuppressed patients (one example are those taking immunosuppressive drugs). It is matter of ahving aproper hygiene and balanced normal flora of the vagina. Remember, vagina has Lactobacillus which causes the acidity, if this is compromised and not maintained they will be beaten by the yeast thus infection happens. Hope this helps. God bless!

unclean underwear, unclean living environment, unclean hands or instruments in vaginal area, getting too much yeast (likebreads) in your diet. Sometimes your microbes are just inbalanced and it's not your fault.
