"if it's doubtful, don't do it". Each of us Christians have different standards/convictions. Lead your children as the Holy Spirit leads you. If you have a question about it, it's always safe not to. Even if you get to heaven one day, and find out it was ok, God will have honored and appreciated your desicion.

As young as 4 years old, I teach my kids (now 6 and 8) which films (or anime/cartoon) is not good to watch and why..Sometimes I let them watch something scary (but not too scary or gore and no nudes also) but I watch with them and explain what is happening and why it is bad. And that they should not believe it or copy it in playing. The result? Whenever we are in a friend's house and they watch tv or film with other kids, my girl (8) tells the others what is bad about the film or cartoon and that they should not watch it (because it is against what the Bible says). This way she shares her faith with other kids.

i think that you chould talk to your children about why some material is not suitable for them. I am a Christian too, and i beleive that watching spooky movies or suspense movies are perfeclty fine as long as they have no cussing, nude, gore..ect... but i have found this awesome movie thing like netflix called CleanFilms and all they did was get ANY movie and cut all that junk out! e-mail me if you need anymore explanation! haileybarnett@yahoo.com

EQUIP THEM!
"censorship" is good only up to a certain age, but the more you shield them from the bad side of reality, the more interested they become (like the parable of the Lost Sheep, who would venture on forbidden ground).
it's better if you equip them with the Armor of God so that you can trust that wherever they go, they will never go astray.
you won't be there forever rushing to their rescue during hard times. but if God's Word remain in them, they will know how to handle things. love never fails. God bless!

movies are fiction so make sure they know it and it won't be a problem. If you stop them doing everything on the bounds that it is non-christian then they are more likely to rebel and reject there christian beliefs. Kids just want to be like other kids,

First, inspire her to no longer tolerate this form of parenting. Secondly, the numerous element is - does she have self assurance what her father and mom do? (is she a born-lower back Christian?) If no longer, then there is little need combating or irritating approximately it, with the aid of fact her father and mom are assuming their daughter believes what they do, too. yet perchance she incredibly hasn't studied or study what she incredibly believes? perchance she ought to attitude her father and mom in yet differently? If she is a Christian, then whilst she feels reinforced lower back, tell her to study some chapters in her Bible and talk the situation along with her father and mom. The areas of the Bible she needs to study are a million Corinthians 7, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. whilst examining those texts, be sure she prays that God could coach her what they actually advise. whilst examining, make word that a million Corinthians 7 has to do with marriage relationships, and positively says that believers sanctify (make holy) the unbeliever with the aid of being married, and are those obligated to "carry on". As for 2 Corinthians, make word of the be conscious the two. Does she placed your ideals as equivalent as hers? Does she see you as being 'in basic terms as suitable'? if so, she is falling right into a catch and her father and mom are justified. If no longer, and he or she is conscious and believes what she does no count what effect you need to have - then her father and mom would be stressful pressed to locate her at fault. There *IS* a sturdy clarification for believers to evade unbelievers - in the event that they're on equivalent footing. The unbeliever can lead a believer into contradicting their dedication and ideology with the aid of beautiful to emotion or unBiblical worldwide perspectives. as quickly as you 2 have studied this, have her pray along with her father and mom and talk with them approximately it. you additionally can desire to connect - this is going to teach your undertaking for the region (and for her). Lead the talk. If her father and mom nevertheless have worry then, rebuke them and get a pastor's help.

Your children are GOING to be exposed to swearing, nudity and violence sooner than later. Don't try to hide it from them.

No. I'm very strict. It's not worth it. Maybe when they are even older. I think not of "Is this okay" but more like "Is this glorifying God?"
