All you have to do is repent to go to heaven.
(Even if you raped and then mutilated and killed children)
And heaven is supposed to be all nice when you get there.
You will find it very hard to get close to god due to all the other dead freaks, oh and dead animals etc. oh and dont forget al the dead dinosaurs that god created the world for.
Oh and all teh aliens on other planets.
Gee, you will never get a chance to see him/her /it.
Why do you think he, who knows everthing you have done and are ever going to do wants you to sit and pray to him?

I loved "lu"'s simple and sweet answer. I don't think you have ever read the Bible, or you would not make a fool of yourself like you have done! Repenting means just that..repenting AND meaning it We in Heaven will be close to God. There will be no animals , including dinosaurs, because they don't have a soul. There are no aliens, it tells us in the Bible that Eve was the mother of all living...and she didn't travel to another planet. Yes, He wants us to love and pray to Him. It is what we are supposed to do. That is the reason we are here. You need to learn a little before you comment on something you know nothing about!

I believe it was a way of getting people to follow rules back in the day, Most religon is based on fear 'if you don't respect god you will spend infinity burning in hell'. No one really knows but it is a safety net to make people feel good about them selfs, they think it's ok i'm going to heven,And give them a reason to live by the book. It makes some people feel like they are doing some thing meaning full with there life and others believe they are on a higher plan because they believe. What has religon really given back apart from every world war ever started and the Muslim troubles now!

Some people are blinded by what they see other people do, to what they truly feel in their heart. I believe that it all comes down to the person themself, it is God decision and it doesn't matter what belief or none belief you have, because everyone is different. Only God can judge, only He will know. It is very wrong when someone thinks that they have a one-way ticket to heaven or someone else has a one-way ticket to hell. That my friend would be ticket booth full of ignorance.

Because they are sad people who are unable to come to terms with their own meaningless existence in the universe, so they create a belief in an elaborate fantasy that there is an all-powerful being that watches and judges their behavior, therefore giving their life some sort of meaning or goal.
Religion is the original viral confidence scheme. There's a sucker baptized every minute.

You seem to have a rather naive view of religion, or are you being deliberately obtuse? I believe that if you commit your life to behaving like a Christian, or a member of any other God fearing religion, and are truly repentant of your sins then you will fare better then anyone who leads a life of sin, ignorance of God and doesn't repent.

Basically God gave people rules to live by...God also says don't fall in love with this earth, this is nothing compared to what waits for those who believe in me...God also says, yeah, if you believe, you'll make it into heaven, but rewards are going to be divided to those believed and actually lived for him and those that believed but still only lived for earthly pleasure...and checked in once in a while...

I usually verbally kick the living Hell out of people with questions like that. But you, I think that you are hurt. I don't like it when people are hurt so much they can hardly stand it. I know because that's my life too.
