That's a deep question.

Women who grow up in a family with the absence of, or a bad father figure, usually stay in trouble or marry the men like their fathers.

We grow up watching our parents be adults almost constantly. The other 1% of the time we see strangers that we don't trust like our parents. So when we venture out on our own to attempt to be an adult, we follow the model we know best.

But deeper than that is that women will also emulate their mother in the sense that they will be more likely to accept the type of person their mother married. So a woman's "type" can be predicted by who her father was.

That's a generalization. Don't take it too seriously, but there is science behind it. Most women look for their fathers' characteristics in the men they date and/or marry.

I can't address the "skank" part specifically, but I hope I was helpful.

The most impressionable, first look a girl has at how a man should be...is her father.

If he's a dirt ball...you can't expect her to be much different or to aspire to anything greater.

She'll naturally want to marry a man with some of dads better qualities. And if those are still less than desireable...thats exactly how she'll partner up. You call it a skank...I call it a natural progression...an expected normative sample.

And obviously your definition and perceptions of a "skank" will vary greatly from hers.

I don't know how you came up with that, but not all girls turn into skanks, because they don't have a daddy in their life. I know skanks that have both parents and were loved very much by those parents. You need to do some research.

Not all girls with bad fathers turn into skanks. Both my sisters fathers never came around, and they didnt turn into skanks.

I think the ones that do, its because they need that acceptance. They didnt have a man growing up telling them how smart they were, how beautiful they are... none of that. and girls need that growing up. If they dont get it from their father, then they will seek it elsewhere... and that elsewhere is with other men who say all those things they never got told growing up.

I had never met my reall father and the one I had was an abusive alcoholic. It's very hard, because I need some love, from a man, and if a man doesn't treat me right it doesn't matter, as long as I get it...at least something...you know? That's why women who grew up with fathers like that get down and dirty and loose becuase they don't care about respect, just "love". However I am trying to be the complete opposite of what I am expected to be...wish me luck....

I have a terrible father who is abusive and hurtful but I have a serious relationship going with the guy I love.
And myy two sisters have had it just as bad and one is making over 50$ and hour happily married and the other has a two year relationship going with her boyfriend.
Some girls do but that doesn't mean we ALL do.
