This is a follow up question. My first question was "are women more emotional than men"? Surprisingly all of the women who answered were very honest and nice ( I thought I would get some nasty answers) and admitted to sometimes being a little emotional. My next question is if you realize you tend to be emotional why can't you do things to compensate for this? Like telling yourself I am being emotional right now so I need to take some deep breaths and think logically." Thanks for all of your answers about a touchy subject that I am curious about. This just shows how wonderful women are. Most men wouldn't even discuss emotions. Thanks again.

Dont you think we wouldve done something by now? I get extremely depressed and emotional sometimes, but even though I know its just hormones and all that, I still cant help it!!Its very frustrating. We just cant help it.Really!

I tend to take a step back when I am able to, Being a strong willed and disciplined woman I tend to come off a bit hard at times, as in I hold myself to a higher sense of what is proper behavior. I am aware that my other answer was somewhat snippy, but I was having a bit of fun at your expense. Justification is the key word here, if I feel a situation needs a bit of feminine wiles I am apt to use just the right touch to achieve what I need, otherwise I am just a person first and foremost.

well, it's pretty hard to stop yourself from having an emotion, or at least reacting to the emotion the way you really really want to. it's like if u get really angry cos someone has just abused you in your face-you reach a point where you just snap and you have to do something about it, like shouting back. or walking away. but i don't think most people realise they are being emotional at the time, and they just do what comes naturally, whether that be to cry, shout, storm off or punch something. Not that girls generally result to punching, but, you know. If only we could control our emotions, i think life may be very close to perfect.

You make a good point.
Now that I am getiting older I have learned to not let things get to me like they used to.
I have a good example. Last week I went and made a copy of a check I was about to deposite and it was $1,000. I lost it on my way to my car, It was a matter of a few feet I had walked.
I was farantic. All my checks would bounce if I didn't deposite that check. Also, to get one cut again would be a huge deal.
The younger me would of been in tears and would be frantically running a muck trying to find it, I would of blamed someone else rather than take responsibality on my own. I would I given up looking after five minutes and felt defeated. I would of been on the phone sharing the anxiety. Instead the older and wiser ,me has learnd lessons in life, stayed relitively calm and didn't freak out. A;though I wanted to. I didn't
After 45 minutes of trying to find it something caught my eye in a puddle of water. MY check must of been blown out of my hand by the wind. It was hot enough outside so it dried quickly and I was able to deposite it. WOW the younger me would of been a major basket case for the rest of the day. I definatly have learned to not let my initial reaction rule my life.

I think women are more emotional than men. Honestly, I'm a woman and I'm very emotional. I wish men would express their emotions more. They act like robots. I would rather they be sensitive like us.

I can say Im one of those emotional women. Its weird when you get emotional. Its like something takes over you... and no matter how much you know your being emotional, its hard to hold back. REALLY hard. Like something just takes over you.

Well im not sure why some girls cant control their emotion.
i just happen to be a girl and i honesly dont understand girls (haha).
im not very emotional but im not cold.
its mainly because all my emotion goes into songs that i write.
so no one knows that i have any emotion and i subconsiously seem to hide it

Well......I think being able to understand and control being emotional is truely how matue the woman is. Its about growing within yourself and learing how to take contol over how you react to different situations.
