In the Philippine Islands, Crispy Pata is a delightful dish made of pig's feet. Maybe because of the Spanish word for feet.

Seriously, i think it is Spanish for 'foot'. Apparently, there is a filipino dish named 'pata,' so i imagine there are people there running around on stumps...
