just reading so many answers to some of the questions i have come to know that all most all of the christians believes that Bible is written by men (not even by one man). they also accept that if one incident is written by 100 people, the out come is definitely completely different from the original thing/incident. because every one will state it with his own mantalety, own veiws, own style and own logics. after accepting all these things, i wonder how come u all (christians) follow Bible so blindly?& say it's theTruth?
my belief Bible is heavenly book same like Quran. but unfortuantely Bible was changed wid time. whereas Quran is still in its orignal form, even the language is also the same as it was on the very first day. in Quran Allah says, "i take the responsibility of its protection. it will be the same as it is till the end of the world." muslims dont only read Quran bt alot of us learn it by heart. if u destroy all of Quran bks from face of earth it ll still stay in hearts.

Well, this doesn't answer your questions, but do you think that'd show whos religion was true? You know, if we took every religious article away for the next 500 years? I wonder if that'd show the truth of the religions.... I may not agree with you, but I'm happy to know that your smart.

If you seriously want to know, go read the book The Case For Christ.
My statements don't conflict. Everything I say and everything I say I believe fits perfectly without any contradiction.
Much of what you are saying is not correct. For instance, I don't believe that if something is written about by 100 people, the outcome will be changed. If something happened, it will be attested to by all the witnesses (they may differ on some small details, but basically the story will be the same with all of them). This if very different from what you just said.
The Bible has not been changed, and has been handed down to us 99.5 percent perfectly accurately, according to the textual experts.
While you mention the Quran, why don't you compare the contents of the Quran to the contents of the Bible. The Bible makes sense, the Quran just rambles endlessly with a lot of the same stuff over and over.
Also, the Quran (well, the Hadith, the other "holy" writings of Islam)is filled with hate and murder.
That makes it impossible that Islam is the truth or that Allah is the real God.

The Bible could also be recreated [if they were all destroyed] both from people who have memorized it, and from the other books in which it has been quoted.

There were 66 books of the Bible all written by different authors, but inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible points to Jesus Christ.
Of all the ancient manuscripts, the Bible is the one who is most valid with almost 5000 ancient copies all pretty much the same. Jewish tradition is very strict when it comes to transcribing. The Dead Sea Scrolls(ancient manuscript) found in the 19th century are possibly the oldest Old Testament manuscripts ever found and were practically word for word with the other ancient copies.
The New Testament was written in Greek and we still have access to original manuscripts. Perhaps you are questioning the different versions/ translations? The closest one from Greek to English is the King James Version which many Christians still read today. Of course America is free which means there have been unscrupulous men who have decided to change around verses and develop their own versions of the Bible. Some even call themselves Christians, but they're really not. Christians are those who profess Jesus is God and Savior.

Lord, why do people have to posts retarded questions. Nobody can't make you believe in nothing you don't want to believe in.
If you find that the Bible is wrong or you can't get the just of why people believe in the Bible. Then don't worry about it. Your making your head and mine hurt. If you believe in God you have to believe in the Bible. The bible is your bread and meat, it's your food. It's what you need to live.
I can't explain this enough to yall people. You can't be on the outside of something to get the whole just of it. God works on a level that we don't work on. He works in the supernatural. We work in the natural. If your mind is in the natural, then when something happens and someone says it was God. You will question it because you can't comprehend it because of how you think (natural). Thats why a miracle is hard to believe. Because our minds are not equiped to think that way. But when you become a christian you become like God. And the saying is there is nothing to hard for God. So, when something happens you won't be amazed or you wouldn't need noone to explain so you can comprehend because you know that there is nothing to hard for God. When you start believing in God and having a personal relationship with God your heart changes. And things that you didn't understan before you start to now.

Amazing. It happens to every religion. Like how terrorists warp the Quran for their own ends, others used the Bible. It's totally true. Just because someone claims to be of a certain religion does not mean they are. Just because someone quotes the Torah, Bible, or Quran doesn't make them especially spiritual.
It's what's in their heart that counts.
Are their actions compassionate or cruel? Do they advocate violence in any way? Do they seek to discredit others and glorify themselves, or seek the truth and humility and God? Do they judge harshly or seek widom?
It is difficult to aspire to understand, but easy to condemn. Keep an open mind, there!

First of all the Qumran is a hate filled rag not worthy to bother with. How can you defend it and accuse Christians WHEN YOU KNOW it tells its followers to kill infidels? Not just once but all through it.If you really want to know the truth you have to begin with yourself and ask God to help you.
