It is well-known fact that some people call themselves "Christians" yet do not even live a half an hour of a life of a Christian.

Let us first define Christianity:

Christianity is the life of Christ through the Holy Spirit entering a repentant sinner.Understand that being a born-again (Christian) is a HAPPENING, not a decision to change!!!

The reason for this question is that Y!Answers users would be able to note the differences between these:

Do we call these people Christians?

1.A person who used to be in a church that never experienced the Holy Spirit.
2.A backslidden Christian.
3.A backsliding Christian.
4.A person who knows the bible.
5.A person who is deluded about certain Christian facts.
6.A person who studied theology and calls himself/herself a Christian
7.A person who grew up in Christian church.
8. A person who is a good user of religious words.
9. A person who was never filled with the Holy Spirit.

Do we accept these as Christians?

Yes, the world accepts these people as christians. But we both know that not everyone who claims they are christians; are. I consider my self - ME. I love God and I seek him and I have a personal relationship wih him. I might don't know and study the bible like I should. But everyday I'm looking to be better and live better. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a baby in the game. But I'm just not fully where I need to be.

Yes, in general, I will accept them as Christians - believers of Jesus Christ.

The reason is God see them in Christ, when we believed in Jesus, it is that He took all our sins (all means all) and justified us forever making us righteous before God. It's all of His works and none of our works. Our part is only to believe.

1. Never experience in reality? As in they think they never experienced? We are saved by believing in Jesus and not by experiencing the Holy Spirit even though, most will have the latter.

2. We who are cleansed are no longer a sinner. We can't sin anymore. We are forever slave to righteousness.

3. Christ is our righteousness.

4. Christ is the only way. Knowing the bible doesn't cut it.

5. Accepting Christ is the way.

6. Accepting Christ and believing in Him is the way and the truth.

7. Accepting Christ is the way.

8. Accepting Christ is the way.

9. The bible says that when we are saved, the Holy Spirit is sealed in us till the redemption of Christ. So we have it. Some of us just don't manifest the fruits of the Holy Spirit in us.

It's not up to us to call anyone Christian or accept anyone. Let a man determine his own worthiness. Let him be convicted of the body and blood of Christ. This is every self proclaimed Christian's right. Ultimately, God makes the final decision...and if the crack whore makes the cut...he/she makes the cut. What are you gonna do about it...chastise God? I am not sure if that is a good idea.

I wouldn't accept someone who is judgemental like you as a true christian, either. Who said YOU got to choose who lives like a christian should? Do you own your own house? Do you drive your own car? Do you have more than $5 in your pocket or bank account? Do you buy clothes new when ever you want them? Because if you can answer 'yes' to any of these, you aren't living like jesus said you should either. 'Judge not lest ye be judged and found wanting.'

my friend worry only about yourself the only true Christian was that christ dude and he didn't always walk the right path.. live your life the way that makes you feel good about living it.. that's all you can do while your here because calling yourself a christian means your calling millions of other people wrong in their beliefs and until the fat lady sings the verdict is still out as to which the "true" religion is.. what you are is an elitist trying in your own way to condemn your fellow man.. coming from a dude with dollar in his name your priorities are all out of whack anyways..

Can we and should we really be defining Christianity. Just like there are varying definitions from country to country of poverty, there is also very wide scope and definition of Christianity.

Wouldn't it have been better to first ask round how people on
Y!Answers define Christianity in their countries, towns or for themselves?
