Koreans are generally kind to Americans. They are interested in our culture and of course our business too. They don't agree with all of Bush's policies but it sounds like the two countries are working together well.
People are kind and helpful. There are many English speakers there so don't worry about it.

Somehow, I find the above comments hilarious, as it seems like none of them are Korean...
Anyways. Coming from a Korean, raised in the U.S. with Korean parents, I would say you would get one of two personalities. A lot of Koreans are proud of their culture, and their food. Some of the food might be weird smelling... I guess that would be the cultural thing to look out for. The other "kind" of Korean is very Americanized, I think you would have no problem with that.
Also, it would be safe to say that no North Koreans would be college students in the U.S. as they only recently could defect to the U.S., they normally defect to China or South Korea.
And unless the student is an international student, they'll be general understanding of American culture. Me, I like listening to Korean music and watching Korean TV but I don't know if that's what every Korean student does.
It all depends on personality, too, I guess. Some Koreans are forthcoming about their culture, some not.
Hope that helps!

When it comes to Americans, Korean people overall have a very good and positive perception of us. The majority overall admire and respect the U.S., our values and our culture. The only thing they have a problem not suprisingly is our politics & foreign policy especially when it comes to the Bush Administration. But Koreans are awesome and some of the most friendliest people you will meet so don't worry too much. You'll be fine.

assuming you mean south koreans- i don't think many people know what north koreans think.
it's sort of intesting- older generation really love america- they remember when we came thru for them militarily and how we helped them develop economically.
younger koreans are a bit different- they see north korea as a pathetic weakling- full of starving masses with little hope. they think america is a bit of a bully as well as an imperialist- and they can get pretty high and mighty when they bash america. that being said they generally like the american culture and are friendly to americans on a personal level.
