There is no such restriction. Of all things in the world, you had to choose something that is allowed?

During mourning Jews do not wear shoes. That means when you lose a parent or immediate relative or Yom Kippur or when mourning over the temples, etc. on the Ninth of Av, which falls around August.

you might be mistaken with the events of Yom Kippur and Tish biav when Jews are not allowed to wear leather shoes but that is all I can think of.
