John's gospel has over 40 references to Jesus as divine. John 1:1 literally says, "In the beginning was the word, the word was with the God, and God was the word. That last phrase, a construction called "predicate nominative," contains a reversed word order. The effect is that the object, "word," tells us something about the subject, "God." John was telling his readers that the word and God were interchangeable. He goes on to tell us that Jesus was that "word." The divinity of Jesus is the primary theme of this gospel.

There is no trinity.
Read John chapter 1. The Word is the one who became Jesus Christ! Jesus & the Father are "one" in harmony. They are both God! God is a family. These are the two members of the God Family! When a true christian is born again at the resurrection then he or she becomes a member of the God Family. God is Spirit. Man is flesh & blood. when born again, man will become spirit like God (this is eternal life). Example if your last name were Smith then your children born to you would be Smith also.
Those born into the God Family will be God also but under God the Fathers authority.

If you read the whole context he simply meant he was conveying the message of God, a messenger, a prophet.
It's either that or God is not 3-in-1 but 15-in-1 as you can see in John 17:22.
But hell will break loose if someone actually tries to understand what exactly he or she is reading.

Let me understand this from the Hindu point of view. You must understand that Hindus have no difficulty in accepting Jesus a highly spiritual being. It is our faith that the Atman within us is a part and parcel of the God. The Atman-the life within us is in a state of delusion and is ensconced in a physical consciousness forgetting that it belongs to a higher super consciousness. A truly spiritual being breaks this barrier between his Atman and the super conscious being, the God. Such spiritual beings as Jesus can at well transcend the physical consciousness, that for a normal being acts as a barrier, to enter into the level super consciousness. When they enter into that stage, which is known as ,Samadhi', in yoga, they become one with God; and they speak the language of God.

Spot on!
Unfortunately this scipture as well as the one found at John1:1,is used often to back up the trinity doctrine, which is not a Bible teaching but has its roots in pagan beliefs and was fused into apostate Christianity.

God is spirit and so are we.
But God is the ocean and we are just a drop.
Also God is not interested in the material world and a saintly person isn't either.
A saintly person that is surrendered to God is interested in pleasing God and God loves to please people that are surrendered to Him... both acting in love.

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:7
21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
The verse preceding, makes it clear, One in us, part of them, part of Gods spirit, evidenced further my the Holy Chost, wich you recieve when you become saved, making you part of them.
Much more research than one verse is needed.

Not going to waste even a moment "to see if anyone can argue against" your misconception of these verses.
The verses speak for themselves.
Joh 17:1 Jesus spoke these things, looked up to heaven, and said: Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son so that the Son may glorify You,
Joh 17:2 for You gave Him authority over all flesh; so He may give eternal life to all You have given Him.
Joh 17:3 This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent--Jesus Christ.
Joh 17:4 I have glorified You on the earth by completing the work You gave Me to do.
Joh 17:5 Now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with that glory I had with You before the world existed.
Joh 17:6 I have revealed Your name to the men You gave Me from the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
Joh 17:7 Now they know that all things You have given to Me are from You,
Joh 17:8 because the words that You gave Me, I have given them. They have received them and have known for certain that I came from You. They have believed that You sent Me.
Joh 17:9 I pray for them. I am not praying for the world but for those You have given Me, because they are Yours.
Joh 17:10 All My things are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I have been glorified in them.
Joh 17:11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name that You have given Me, so that they may be one as We are one.
Joh 17:12 While I was with them, I was protecting them by Your name that You have given Me. I guarded them and not one of them is lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture may be fulfilled.
Joh 17:13 Now I am coming to You, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have My joy completed in them.
Joh 17:14 I have given them Your word. The world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.
Joh 17:15 I am not praying that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one.
Joh 17:16 They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.
Joh 17:18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
Joh 17:19 I sanctify Myself for them, so they also may be sanctified by the truth.
Joh 17:20 I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in Me through their message.
Joh 17:21 May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me.
Joh 17:22 I have given them the glory You have given Me. May they be one as We are one.
Joh 17:23 I am in them and You are in Me. May they be made completely one, so the world may know You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Joh 17:24 Father, I desire those You have given Me to be with Me where I am. Then they will see My glory, which You have given Me because You loved Me before the world's foundation.
Joh 17:25 Righteous Father! The world has not known You. However, I have known You, and these have known that You sent Me.
Joh 17:26 I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them.
