ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! We have made such notable advances in science and technology, and people actually WANT TO GO BACKWARD!! I'm reading these answers in shock and horror that, supposedly intelligent people are still blindly believing in some mystical, magical all-knowing deity that lives somewhere out in the sky or the "heavens", and he STILL allows disease, destruction, plagues, viruses, pain, murder, torture, hunger, war, pessimism...BUT HE LOVES YOU??!! I refuse to have any part of that Christian kind of sadistic, inhumane, violent, and cruel god in my life! My life, my BEING was created by the act of love between my parents, so don't attribute ANY of that to God! I would rather have THIS ONE LIFE of the unconditional love that my parents gave me than AN ETERNITY with a cruel and bloodless Christian God!!

John 1:1-3
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. "
Here the "Word" refers to Jesus Christ....when it tells "the Word was with God", it speaks of Jesus Christ being with God, the Father...
so Jesus Christ with God the Father, next to Him, created the universe and all that is in it, according to the instructions of the Father....

I serve no man. I'm not a shipmate either.
I don't have any evidence that either God or that Jesus made me. I doubt if Jesus had anything to do with it.
The world was already going strong when he got here.If I have to pick one it would be god but I'm not sure enough to bet on it.

If i got you correct, you want god to serve man. But somewhere I strongly feel that man is god. So, I dont think man needs god in the first place.
