Am I "saved" or am I damned to Hell?

Does it matter that:

I believe in God,
I seek to do His work,
I believe in the teachings of Jesus,
I try to follow the Ten Commandments and other Old Testament laws, and
I try to "Love God before all others and love my neighbor as myself" (the two teachings that Jesus emphasized in his Sermon on the Mount)

IF I no longer believe that Jesus is the Messiah and do not accept Him as my personal Lord and Savior?

Does that make me damned for all eternity?

Dash: I am not trying to bait anyone. This is an issue that I am truly struggling with in the here and now.

kingreef777: if saying "try" twice qualifies as "a lot," so be it. But I am not going to say that I am able to follow the Ten Commandments or Jesus' teachings on love every moment of my life. I don't know anyone who is. That is why I said that "I try." I guess that is not enough, either?

You are saved by believing in Jesus Christ. That Jesus is the Son of God, that Jesus came to die for all your sins, so that in God's eye you are righteous. So righteous that God sees you in Christ seated at His right hand.

You are not saved by obeying and following the Ten Commandments and doing good deeds. Christ is the way and the only way.

So what if you no longer believe, even if you once believed. So do you believe it or not? Let a yes be a yes and a no be a no. Maybe you never truely believe. hahaha. Christ has make it so simple, don't complicate it. Believe and see and taste that the Lord is good.

If you believe in the teachings of Jesus, you cannot also not believe in Jesus as the Messiah. He taught that he is the Messiah. And yes, if you do not accept him, he will not accept you. He said that, (John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

"Does that make me damned for all eternity?"
Thou sayest.

You use the word 'try' a lot.

If you refute your knowledge and belief in Jesus Christ, then how is Christ to acknowledge you to the Father? Your baptism did not save you, your works did not save you, your belief in Jesus teachings did not save you, following the ten commandments and the two teachings that Jesus emphasized in his Sermon on the Mount did not save you, believing in God, did not save you - salvation comes when you are convicted of your sins that separate you from God for all eternity in a sinner's hell and upon that conviction you see them as God does, vile and disgusting and that you are unworthy of the grace that he allowed to be given by the giving of his son and through the death of Jesus Christ. We are all damned until we have a conversion experience and then we know our salvation is secure because our fruits will bear out our hearts sincerity - we will not want to go back to the way of the sins our life once held - we want to strive ever forward for the righteousness of Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God, and when we fall short, we will repent and amend, and continue to strive forward. Too many people hold fast to the claim that at some point in their life they believed in their mind all that you have mentioned, but until the heart as rebelled against the filthiness of sin, then salvation has not come to that soul. And once it comes, and the glory of God has been tasted and lived and the life has been blessed, why would one choose to no longer follow Christ? This may be a poor analogy, but it's what readily comes to mind - have you ever sat and ate grapes and had a really superb one and then thought, I should stop because if the next one is sour, I'll have to keep eating? Well, once we have had Christ at the center of our being, we don't want to keep eating at the banquet tables of religious possibilities because the next one maybe sour and we'd have to keep searching. So, from the little you have provided, my question to you is have you ever truly not been damned for all eternity?

Three things....first, do you really want to find out if you are damned or not? Secondly, did you really believe it for real originally, if you can just decide that it isn't right anymore? Finally, and you may know this, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father, but through me." So if you don't believe in him that you cannot come to the father. Another thing you must remember is that it isn't about what you do, God wants us to just accept His GIFT, its not something to be strived for through legalism. We should still try to follow the ten commandments, but they are not the WAY.

The Bible says If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He was raised from the dead, then you will be saved.
Jesus Himself said, No one gets to the Father except through me. And You must be born again.
Anyone can believe in God, do His works and all of that but we are saved by faith through grace and not of our own works.....
I won't say you're damned for all eternity because it's not up to me to make that judgement. Jesus Himself will be the righteous judge when He returns. It's up to Him I'm only telling you what the Bible says on the matter. You need to make up your own mind from there. God bless you as you search for the truth

This is a struggle that most Christian Noachides go through.

If I understand their theology correctly, Jesus is the son of God. He points to th Way. You are saved by accepting God (YHVH) into your life, and then by following God's Commandments. (613 in the Tanakh. I don't remember how many commandments they consider the New Testament to contain.)

All you say is leading you to the right path cause Jesus is not the son of god or even a god he is a profet of allah and he cannot protect any one from hell (what you do that what protect you from hell )i think that some one is dieing for the sins of others is none sense!!!!!!!!!
allah is a one only god, tawraa and bible was the word of allah and they are not any more caz of the human changes, both of them are like a draft copy untill the protected word had come in Quoraan
and the three of them are similar in most but nothing nonsense in Quraan like in fake tawraa which say the one of the prophets slept with his own daughters and so and so...........or the blood of crist was wine ,how come the blood of a prophet(or son of allah like they say is wine which is the reason of other sins)!!!!!!!
allah help you find the right way
if you want more just ask

If you believe in God..you are a Christian..you seek to do his work? You believe in his teachings? But you do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah?? You are lost - you need to bow at your bedside, by yourself, in private and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you. If you cannot do this...I'm sorry and I will pray that you find yourself. If all this does not make sense...no, you will not be damned...God, you should be thankful, will save you...because you are Christian...just confused; it's okay.

You are contradicting yourself. Reread your details. You just sound confused. I think you do believe in Jesus or you would not believe in that other stuff. Just pray and ask God to help you. Only when you turn away from God and talk bad about him--blasphemy--is when you may be damned and you are nowhere near that.

You're not damned to hell because it would be hard to be damned to somewhere that doesn't exist except in the minds of the religious folks who want to scare everyone else.

Christians will say you are indeed damned, a heathen lost in this world now, obviously tainted by the devil. DO NOT believe them. Think for yourself and you'll be fine.
