how do you get your guy friend to like you back the way you like him??

I have this guy friend and I have liked him for a while now I think about him all the time actually over time I think I have fallen in love with him and i'm afraid if i tell him the way I feel about him, he wont like me as a friend anymore or wont talk to me I just need some advice on how to get him to like me back the way I do I dont want to push him but he acts funny when I bring up the topic about dating he just trys to change the subject I know for sure he isnt gay or anything like that I just really need some advice I dont know if he isnt ready for a relationship or what I feel so confused

Lady, I know that you probably won't accept this because I know I didnt. But from what your telling me; my impression is that he isnt into you. I've been down that road, and in fact I broke up with my g/f thinking that I could be with this girl who I really did love. She was a really good friend; we were friends for a very long time and it grew from there. But I would bring it up, but ultimately she just didnt feel the same way that I felt about her. And I was totally devasted. But I accepted it, and if you really like this guy just put it out there. And if hes not into, sure you might feel shitty for awhile but you'll move on

well you cant change someones feelings. But you CAN let him know how you are feeling. Let him know!! I mean, it may be wierd, but its the only thing you could do to find out if he likes you the way back. If hes going to lose your friendship because you let him know how you feel, than he isnt a true friend and you dont need someone like that. Good luck!

First, you can't make someone feel the way you want them to.
It has to come from them.
Second, you know in your gut whether he is interested in more then a friendship-women have good intuition if they pay attention.
Third, let him know how you feel-it is worth the risk-you can't keep stuffing your own feelings-that's not healthy either.

You can't 'get' someone to like you, unless you bend over backwards to be the 'type' of girl that he likes. Why bother? Even if you manage it, how long can you keep up trying to b what he wants?

It isn't realistic, just be friends, and see where it goes from there, if anywhere at all.

LOL thats very strange im having the SAME problem. Its been like 4 years and STILL i havent confessed. In a way i feel like he feels the same way about me but i dont wanna risk anything. I hate it!!!!!!

that dosent mean he isnt ready for a relationship. in a relationship usualy a girl brings up "so were are we in a relationship" and maybe hes afraid of that

hey there is a saying that "love with guts or dont".there is nothing to be afraid.and to my knownledge there is no guy trying to avoid his gulfriend{i dont mean lover}.why dont u think that even he is feeling afraid to tell u nthat he is in luv with u.just ask him like "u want to ask him sumthing if he doesnt like that we would be just freinds but dont leave".best of luck

tell him how you feel and over time he may like you back just by knowing the fact that you like him (its happened to me)

Ask him. Guys don't run away if we are asked. But be careful that he does not say he likes you back just to take advantage of it. Unless of course you want that! :)
