I have been getting a skin rash on my legs between my knee and my upper thigh on the front and back of my leg. They start out as small bumps and develop into itchy welts. I notice that I get the rash after I shave and when I am out in the heat. Do you think there is anything medically wrong? Can I just buy something over the counter? Should I go to the doctor?

Try using an electric shaver the next few times you shave and use body lotion on your legs. If the rash clears, and I think it will, it's probably just due to sensitivity from the razor.

If you are getting welts, it's not just razor burn, you're allergic to something. You can take Benadryl as needed until you figure it out. It could be anything.

See a doc. Rashes can be symptoms of many different health conditions.
