There is a sticker on the moped which has the gross vehicle weight, tire pressure etc. Mopeds can typically carry a load of 300-350 lbs. Most cops won't bother to look unless the thing is so overloaded with a heavy person, or persons, and overloaded with saddle bags, front and rear racks or baskets full to the brim, and it is obviously bottoming the springs, tires flattened.

Theoretically a moped could carry two, if your weight is more than two average weights then perhaps you better not buying or riding on one. Also, the size of your ***, and I'm not kidding, if you're really fat and large assed, that could be a problem. As for restriction itself, I guess if you're a monster on two legs and get on a moped, then you become a hazard and might be stopped by a trooper.

Every vehicle has maximum carrying capacity. For mopeds, it's generally around 200 pounds. Check the owner's manual.
