The Red Cross also gives classes. They're very good. If you don't know how to change a diaper there are other things you don't know and you should really take a class before you start. Besides that, if you're certified it will help you get jobs. They teach you CPR and the whole nine yards. Parents like knowing that they're leaving their Little ones in the hands of a capable and prepared babysitter. Do it. You'll be glad you did.

Take the American Red Cross babysitting course. You should never be babysitting if you do not have basic childcare skills. Even my 8 year old daughter changes diapers and pottys kids.

if you can't ask the parents to show you how to do these things then they shouldn't trust you with their children.
ask your mum for help, and then ask the child's parents - practice makes perfect and if you have to go through many nappies to get it to stay on, don't worry, it happens to a lot of people
but do ask the parents for advice

Ok before i starting babysitting your local YMCA has courses which teach you how to do all that

local hospitals and defax offices have classes you can take..and besides it will only make you look better to have that certification they can give you for completeing the class! : ) Good luck!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PUT DOWN THE CHILDREN!!! Do go take a babysitting course, peoples children are their most precious gifts.An irresponsible or unknowlegdable babysitter is a dangerous thing.
