I really want to get a new car soon and I've fallen in love with the Cobalt. I love the look of it. My brothers have Chevrolet Aveos and I'm not impressed. Do you think the Cobalt will be a good car to choose?

Yes, they are good looking and reliable. I am 21, so I wanted something sporty, but not too expensive. I originally wanted an Alero or Grand Am GT, but as soon as I saw my cobalt, it was over, I wanted it. It was Sunburst Orange, but not many options, power locks, thats it. I got into a car accident in January with it, and it held up great, but I did total it. So, I got a car i didn't really want, but I was pinched because I needed a car to go to work and college with. So, being unhappy with the car I had, I started looking for another cobalt...and found my new Cobalt Level 2 LS...it is hot, bright red, 2 doors, sunroof, rims, leather, chromed exhaust tip, fog lights, pioneer sound system...the works! It was love a first sight for me. Once again, I wanted something sporty and this car did it...it had everything I wanted and more! The sport packages cost a little more, but its worth it. Hope you find one you like, if you choose to get one. They are good on gas and insurance!

My sister recently rented a car she brought it home and I saw it was a Cobalt. They look interesting I have been wanting to look into getting one. So she lets me take it for a test-drive.
and Boy did I put it though its paces.
It handles VERY well. I took a freeway interchange that said 25MPH and easily traversed it at 50MPH. Tires squealing of course.
Its quick. By the time I left a freeway on ramp I was already doing 70+ and we have short on-ramps around here.
Its roomy. Personally I thought it was too big. I am a 2 door car lover and this was a 4 door. But it has LOTS of room.

Complaints I had.
Even though this was a bare bones Base model Rental car.
I didn't like the seat. they sat too high and were very hard. I couldn't see myself driving cross country and being comfortable. but for local and short trips it would be OK

Overall I had A LOT of fun using the E-brake to Make turns. LOL its a rental car. (what dealership is going to allow you to try to drift during a test-drive)

I think if I got to test-drive the more sporty version or even one with more bells and whistles I think I would really enjoy this car.

Hope I have helped.

Had this crap for 4 years now....what a piece of crap. Just had the reduce engine power light come on, scary because the car can reduce speed to 15. Gaskets blown, tire sensory shot. We have put more money in it in 4 years than what we bought it for....and that was 14,000. Chevy has gone down hill.

I owned 2 of them.. And yes they are great cars.. I first had a coup.. But have a family and found quickly it wasn't practical. So I got a sedan and love it.. Its Laser Blue.. With metallic blue flakes in it.. I love it. Tho I miss the coup because I loved the round lights.

I got stuck with on for a rental a little while ago and it was an absolute piece of CRAP! It was better than the old Cavalier, which was utter shite. Consumer Reports rated it poorly. Reilability is terrible.

Actually, I test drove one this afternoon in the 123 degree heat, here in Phoenix Arizona! I really like it; I'll probably buy it tomorrow.

It is a really good car, easy to insure and cheap to maintain and probably to repair.

I guess for the money you can't go wrong. Then again, I am kind o' biased to GM cars.

BUY AMERICAN!
