I can't believe these people are still buying your bullshit. You don't have a nephew going in the marines because the marine gene just doesn't run in your family. So yes, your nephew can sit at home and "suck shame" with you.

You really arent much of a supportive relative are you?
By the way...just cause he's getting into the Marines doesnt mean he'll be sent to Iraq (that sand pit is usually your precondition for eating crow and sucking shame), for all you know he'd just be stationed stateside, or at South Korea.
Tell the guy (assuming you actually have one...running on mt has a point) to watch his back and tell him that you support him fully. Its his life...not yours, let him figure things out. Maybe he could even make a difference somehow.

Tell him what my aunt told me, "It's your choice, your the man that has to live with what you choose to do. I feel that you have made a good choice. You will learn to take orders and learn respect."
This is my belief, He is making a good sound decision. I would not trade my time for the world. I am a better man, better husband, and a better dad. Not to mention, he is going to the best branch of service. Tell him, "Good luck and never give up."

I remember my last night at home before I went to Parris Island. It sucked. However, at that point I'd received so much advice from so many people I did not want to hear anymore.
Give him space, leave him be. He knows what is about to happen.

Tell him that there is a woman that lives down South that will always stand behind him no matter what. And tell him I said thank you!! And he is now my family cause my son will be his brother Marine.

You should tell your nephew to take care and that you love him no matter what. That you will have him in your prayers at all times. Also for him to have fun and that you respect him and his decision. that's what you should tell your nephew.

tell him not too ask questions. that can only get him into trouble. Basically, don't talk unless he absolutely has to. He can probably find a dumb guy to ask questions for him. And don't volunteer for anything. If they want him to do something, they'll tell him to.
