Pairing pale yellow and sgae will wash something out. My friend had sage and lavender at her wedding--and the purple color complimented the sage perfectly.

i'm planning on a sage green as well (for the bridesmaid dresses, most of the flowers, etc.) but i'm going to add splashes of a deep maroon color. the bridesmaids are having the dark maroon color, and my bouquet has maroon, greens, and whites in it. i think the colors are beautiful together. the most beautiful combination with sage ive ever seen. that's why i picked it! even if you dont go with that color though, i'd stay away from 2 light colors. since you picked the sage and its lighter, do another darker color, but only in a few select areas. it will darken the overall color ambiance of the wedding, without making it too dark and drab. hope this helps! good luck and congrats

That sounds really pretty. I recently painted my bathroom a lovely creamy-yellow like a buttercream and that would be great with sage green. You can get a swatch of it and show it to your wedding planner, or whomever is taking care of the colors. At Home Depot, they have color swatches and that could be helpful for you. The color I used it called "Princess Ivory" by Behr. I know it's paint, but color is color and if it helps you find the right one then go for it! Congrats on your engagement. My husband and I used burgundy and cream with dark green accents. It was really neat. We got married outside and had ivy wrapped around the trellis. Good luck to you!

Okay, before I start this long story, you have to understand that my wife and I grew up together in Oyster Bay Long Island and were both hugh New York Yankee fans. Okay, having said that, our colors were royal blue and white ( Yankee Colors ). My wife's wedding dress was made special for her... she had a light pink Yankee Logo sewn on her vial... and there were some other little touches to her dress that was special... like pin striping ( I know what some of you are thinking ) but it looked very nice... my tux was also made special... pin striping on a white vest... with a Yankee logo on the left chest... all my groommens and best man had the same tux, well, close to the same tux... our parents both thought we were the weirdest kids in the world for doing what we did... but we were happy... so the bottom line... pick your own colors, and don't let anyone talk you out of anything you want to do... Good Luck & Best Wishes!!

Try a champagne color or maybe even a golden wheat color. That should get you a pale yellow type color. If you are having a hard time, go to a fabric store and find the color you want. Search through all types of fabrics and get a swatch of it. Take that swatch with you everywhere to match it up. Keep it in your wallet so it's always accessible.Congrats and good luck!

Yellow and green look good next to each other, but I think that yellow really only suits people with a dark complextion, so you need to consider that one carefully, keeping not only yourselves in mind, but also your wedding party.
Blues and light purples go well with sage, in my opinion.
Or you could have only one wedding color. A friend of mine was married two years ago, and her color was Apple, and it was very nice.

Gee, sage is a tough one, though it's an interesting colour to deal with. I don't think you should be looking for a pale colour, just the opposite. A dark violet might be good, or navy accented with a bright yellow.

If your going with sage you might want to rethink the yellow...try another color like eggplant...a very deep purple that will compliment the sage color.

do you need two colors? If so, a dark brown is beautiful with sage. It seems kind of gross to have dark brown as one of your wedding colors- I know... but I promise next to your white dress it will be beautiful. You could have oranges and pinks and reds in your flowers... I promise it'll look beautiful.
I don't know if you've picked bridesmaids dresses yet- if not go to ariadress.com. He has beautiful dresses and his sage is WONDERFUL!!!! Enjoy and Happy wedding to you!!!

The bridesmaids do not ought to compare your gown. you may opt for any coloration less than the rainbow for his or her outfits and it truly is going to be positive. Champagne is a impartial coloration in my view. consider, the season that your wedding ceremony will ensue, the topic that you opt for for the marriage to compare their outfits or it may also be your fashionable coloration.
