i have an empty gap in the add/remove programs in the control panel. How can i get rid of it? ?

When i open the control panel and choose the first option of "change or remove programs" the programs on the list appear in alphabitcal order and right below the A list this empty gap extends about a page lenght and then the rest of the programs appear normally as i scroll down. If i click on the gap it hilights with the color blue as if it is one peice, but no text!!! By the way, I have no problems running the laptop wich is an NEC Versa FP520 and i use XP professional. But i sure like to find out how to get rid of it or why it's there?

This is just a big guess, but you may want to do a virus scan to make sure some crazy virus is not causing that problem.
