Back in like 2nd grade I remember making something called "Peanute butter balls" I think thats what they where called. I totally forgot how to make them, but I think it involved roling peanut butter into balls and rolling them in sugar or powdered sugar or something like that? Does anyone know the exact name of them and how there fixed?

Thanks

Here is a recipe
Peanut Butter Balls Recipe
a simple no bake cookie with an irrestible chocolate and peanut butter combination. Source: Carol Walter
2 1/3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup chunky peanut butter
10 ounces bittersweet chocolate, coarsly chopped
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 cups salted peanuts, finely chopped

30 minutes 30 mins prep

IN a large bowl, stir together the confectioner's sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Add the butter and peanut butter and work with a wooden spoon or with your hands until thoroughly combined. POrtion the dough into 60 1-inch balls and place them on parchment-lined roll pans.
Combine the chocolate and vegetable oil in a medium heat-proof bowl. PLace the bowl over a medium saucepan filled with simmering water and slowly melt the chocolate, stirring occasionally. When the chocolate is melted, remove it from the heat, but keep the bowl over the pot of water. Place about 1/2 cup o the chopped peanuts in a low flat dish, such as a pie plate.
Using a chocolate dipping fork, or a 2 prong fork, dip one ball at a time into the melted chocolate. Tap the fork gently on the side of the bowl to help drain the chocolate from the cookie. The coating should be thin. ROll the dipped cookie in the chopped peanuts, and coat it evenly. Remove the cookie with a 2 prong fork and place it back on the jelly roll pan to set. Repeat with the remaining cookies, adding peanuts as needed. If the chocolate begins to thicken, return the pan to the stove and heat until the chocolate thins to the proper consistency. Let air dry on the cookie sheets.
Store in an airtight container layered between strips of wax paper, and refrigerate for up to 3 weeks These cookies may be frozen

They're called Buckeyes because they somewhat resemble the Buckeyes dropped from Buckeye trees. Basically a peanut butter with sugar mix dipped in melted chocolate. Good stuff, look em up online and you might even be able to order a box from an online chocolate shoppe.

Ohio Buckeyes!

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
PREPARATION:
With a hand-held electric mixer, beat peanut butter, butter and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in sugar and flour until well blended. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls; place on wax paper lined cookie sheet and refrigerate one hour or until firm.
Melt chocolate chips; one at a time, spear balls with toothpick and dip ball into the chocolate to cover most of it.

Place chocolate side down on cookie sheet, smoothing over or filling in toothpick gaps with more chocolate, if necessary. Refrigerate buckeyes for about 15 minutes longer, or until the chocolate is set. Store buckeyes tightly covered in refrigerator.
Makes about 5 dozen buckeyes candies.

My mom has made these for me when I was a kid and I make them for my kids:

NO BAKING NEEDED

3 cups rice krispy cereal
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup crunchy peanut butter

Mix all ingredients well and then form into balls. If it is too sticky put in fridge to slightly harden. After forming it into balls refrigerate for 3 hours till firm. Enjoy. Wasnt that simple and they are so good.
